Happy New Year

This morning I sit with a cup of coffee and bailey's in my hand eating a piece of cherry pie a la mode and thinking how my resolution to eat healthier is already shot, but I promise to start tomorrow. LOL

The sun came up this morning in all it's glorious splendor, leaving me with a feeling of optimism over having a brighter 2018. Last year was a challenging one (what with my bout of depression that I am currently still struggling with), but it was also a rewarding one as well.

I took the year off from work and gave myself a gift we should all give ourselves -- the gift of time spent doing what we love. I would not have changed a thing. I didn't get all 9 books written, though, I'm still working on the fifth, however, I don't feel like I failed. How many other people can say they wrote four 85,000 word books in four months? I'm thinking not many.

The first part of the 5th book is complete at 45,000 words I just need to finish writing the second part. That's the problem though. I have to go back to work, so there won't be a lot of time to write, but I have good news. I am not going to leave you hanging.

I have three other completed works for your reading enjoyment. A psychological thriller that features a clairvoyant medium, a romance filled with intrigue and mystery, and a dark fantasy with an epic twist. I just need to decide which one to share with you first. Maybe you can help by letting me know which one you think sounds most interesting.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my work. You'll never know how much it has meant to me to read your comments and to read all those messages of encouragement you have sent me over the last six months.

My focus this year to find a literary agent and to get Haven High published and then to write a screen play for the books that are complete, so that some day we can see these fascinating characters on the big screen.

You can help that happen by sharing my stories with your followers here and on other social media platforms. If I can build my fan base for the series than perhaps an agent will take me seriously and take me on.

Happy New Year everyone. I hope this year finds you with family and friends, happy, healthy, and prosperous, but most importantly of all, writing up a storm, reading lots, and loving life. Cheers to 2018.
