Jennie's POV —9:23 pm—
I look up from my laptop as I hear Jack walk into the kitchen. He's changed from sweats and a tee to black jeans, a white shirt, a hat, and a black jacket.
"Where are you going?" I ask
"To Johnson's place for a little. Do you wanna come?" He asks and i shake my head
"No im ok." I say and he nods
"Ok. I'll be back by like...11 or so." He says and I nod. He grabs his keys and then walks down the hall towards the front post
"Be safe. Have fun." I call after him
"Will do." He says. The front door opens and closes and then I go back to my laptop.

—11:34 pm—
I grab my phone and look at it again for the hundredth time. I'm worried I guess. Jack said he would be back by 11. Yea it's only 11:34 but still. He hasn't answered any of my texts either. I decide to check his Snapchat. I click on his story and see the usual mirror selfie. Regular selfie. Johnson and him laughing at something stupid. Then it goes to what looks like a party. A picture of him and a bunch of others holding their cups in the middle. A video of Johnson dancing weirdly. Then a video of him. He looks at the camera then next thing you know he's making out with some random chick. It ends and that's the end of his story. I hear the front door open and I throw the covers off of me. I throw a robe on and then make my way downstairs.
"Shhh. You have to be quiet." I hear Jack say and then a girl giggle. I turn the light on downstairs and Jack turns to me. I look at the girl.
"Out." I say pointing to the door
"You don't have to be a buzz kill." She slurs. I grab her arm and walk to the front door. I open it and push her out.
"Call an Uber." I say and then slam the door and lock it. I then turn to Jack. He's not that drunk but he's drunk
"God. Rude." He says and I roll my eyes
"Your drunk." I say and he shrugs
"Glad you can see." He says and then jogs upstairs
"Seriously? That's all you have to say?" I ask as we walk into the room
"Yes that's all I have to say." He says taking off his jacket.
"So it went from going to Johnson's, to partying, to making out with a random girl, to bringing home that random girl? How the fuck did that happen?" I ask
"It just did. Why are you so worried about it anyway?" He asks
"Hmm. I don't know, let's think shall we. You said you'd be home by 11. It's 11:52. You said you were just gonna be at Johnson's, yet you ended up at a party. And you made out with a random girl." I say
"And proceeded to bring said girl home." I say and he shrugs
"We aren't together." He says
"Cut that shit already. We are getting married it's time we both except that. So stop saying we aren't together." I say and he sits down on the bed.
"Don't worry about me Jennie." He says
"Don't worry about you? I'm sorry that I'm worried you won't come home one night." I say and he sighs and rubs his face.
"I'm sorry ok? I'll make sure to text you my every move next time I walk out of the house." He says and I roll my eyes. I get in bed on my side and turn my lamp off.
"Sleep on the couch." I say and take up all the room on the bed. He sighs and gets up and walk out of the room. I sigh also and close my eyes and try to go to sleep.

—7:24 am—
I wake up to the front door opening and then talking. It sounds like Kathrine and my mom.
"Good morning." I hear Kathrine say
"Good morning." Jack responds.
"Where's Jennie?" I hear my mom ask. I throw the covers off of me and grab my phone and then walk downstairs
"There she is." My mom says. I smile and hug her and then hug Kathrine.
"You guys are getting settled quickly." My mom says and I nod.
"Yep." I say
"Well we just stopped by to tell you guys that we are having an engagement dinner tonight for you guys. Everyone is gonna be there." Kathrine says and my mom nods.
"Everyone?" I ask
"Oh yea. A lot of our family and a lot of Jack's family." My mom says
"They are super excited to meet you honey." Kathrine says rubbing my arm with a smile. I nod.
"It'll be nice I guess." I say and they all agree.
"Ok. Well we'll get out of your hair. 6:30. Be at our house ok?" My mom says to me and I nod. She hugs Jack and kisses my cheek and Kathrine does the same.
"Oh! Jack have you given her-"
"No not yet." Jack says cutting his mom off. He gives her a look and she nods. She smiles at me and I return one as they walk out. I close and lock the door and turn to Jack
"What have you not given me?" I ask
"I'll tell you later." He says and I nod. We then start to unpack some things and decorate.
