Chained Up [ ON - HOLD ]

CHAPTER TWO

"BAKIT, LOLO?" Yan ang unang tanong na lumabas sa aking bibig.

Malungkot parin siyang nakatingin sakin habang ang lalaki ay nakatayo parin sa may pinto at matamang nakatitig sakin.

"May nagnakaw sa company natin, malaking halaga ang nawala kaya hirap ibangon. Dahil din 'don ay biglang nagalisan ang mga share holders natin. Ginawa ko ang mga possibleng paraan para mabangon ang kompanya ngunit ang hirap. Lalo lang lumala.. nagkanda utang utang tayo at isa sila sa inutangan ko ngunit wala. Lumapit sa akin ang mga Yeredov at inalukan nila ako... Pasensya na, apo."

Tumingin ako kay lolo, "W..wala na bang ibang paraan?"

Umiliing si lolo habang nakapaskil parin ang pasenya at awa sa kanyang mga mata.

"Ayokong sisihin ka, apo.. Matanda na ako para hawakan ang kompanya at ayokong mawala itong kompanyang pinaghirapan ko para sainyo. Pasensya na kung ito lang ang paraan, apo. Patawarin mo si lolo, apo.."

Lumapit ako kay lolo at niyakap ko siya. I don't want to lose everything he did for us too. Siguro, It's time for me na sundun ko si lolo. All my life, laging ako yung nasusunod.
The time when I told him that I want to be a doctor, he supported me then when I said I want to become independent, he said okay and let me go..

"I understand, lolo. I love you. I always do." I hugged him tighter. Don't worry, lolo. I will help you.

"Even you said no, You can't do anything." A baritone voice broke our moment. It came from the man, the man that I am going to marry.

I broke the hug then looked at the man. I saw his eyes. His eyes is the most beautiful eyes that I ever seen in this planet..

"Can.. Can I talk to you?" I said still starting at his emotionless eyes.

The man turned around then walked away but he stopped half away. "Follow me."

I kissed at my lolo's cheeks. "Take care of yourself, lolo. I love you."

Lolo smilled then patted my head like he always did when I was a child. "I love you too, apo."

I immediately exited the room and saw a car parked outside the door. Bumaba ang salamin ng kotse at nakita ko ang lalaking 'yon.

It cringe me. It's not that I hate men.. It's new to me. I didn't had any boyfriends before. First, because I am too focused in school, that's why I didn't entertain boys.

But I can't deny the fact that.. He's so handsome.. He has thick eyebrows, blue piercing eyes but it's emotionless, his lips are so soft and red.. He's almost perfect.

"What are you doing there? Aren't you going to ride? Don't waste my time, woman." He said irritatingly. His forehead is creased, his lips are pursed and his eyes are like staring at my soul. It made me scared.

Yes, I am scared. I am scared that he might do something bad to me.

Dali-dali 'kong binuksan ang pintuan nang kotse at sumakay, kaagad ko namang kinabit ang seatbelt.

"Uhm, Where to?" I asked after we got out from the mansion's gate.

He didn't answered me and he just continued to drove his car.

I rolled my eyes irritatingly. I really hate if someone didn't answer my question. It pisses me off.

I sighed loudly then shut my mouth instead of questioning him again. I just looked outside the car and in a few minutes, the car stopped in front of a restaurant.

He quickly unbuckled his seatbelt then walked inside the restaurant not waiting for me. I rolled my eyes because of his rudeness.

I immediately unbuckled my seatbelt and tried to walk behind him.

They stop on a private room and guided us inside. The waiter gave us a menu and I looked at him.

"Let's eat first." He said, He seems like he noticed my gaze.

"I'm still full. I ate lunch before I talked to lolo." I said, pero hindi niya pinansin ang sinabi ko. He just ordered and did not mind my presence.

Pagkatapos niyang umorder, umalis yung waiter ng tahimik, leaving us quietly also.

I was just drinking water when I felt a strange gaze from someone, I looked up and noticed his deep emotionless eyes.

I looked away and continued to sip on my water. I am getting conscious right now.. I still can feel his gaze on me.

"Q-quit staring..." I awkwardly said.. but he didn't look away like what I told him to do.

"You don't rule me, woman."

I closed my lips and did not talk anymore. He continued to eat his food and I was just staring at the water I ordered.

"Here," He pushed a plate in front of me. "Eat that." He commended me.

"I-It's okay.." I refused but he glared at me so I grabbed the fork and start eating the pasta he ordered.

After a few minutes, We're done eating. I looked down and waited for him to talk.

"What do you want?" He said. Actually, Gusto ko lang talaga linawin ang lahat lahat kaya niyaya ko siyang kausapin.

"I just want to clarify everything. Why did you offered a marriage? What's the real reason?" I asked bluntly. Ayoko nang magpaligoy-ligoy pa, I want to know the reason behind his acts.

He smirked then leaned in his seat, "Why do you care?"

I gasped then my eyebrow creased. He's rude and dangerous, pero hindi ako magapapatalo.

"Because I care! Ako 'yung magpapakasal sayo! I have the right to ask!" I shouted furiously.

He just look at me calmly like I didn't shout at him earlier.

"Let's just say.. You owe me something." He smiled, "I'm done." then stood up and left me confused.

I closed my eyes and massaged my temple.

"Tch! That jerk." I opened my eyes after I calmed myself and absentmindedly exit the restaurant.

A car stopped in front of me as soon as I exited the restaurant. I know it's him.

I opened the door and as soon as I buckled my seat belt, he started the engine.
