CHAPTER FOUR

IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE I SAW EIFAH.Pagkatapos nang paguusap namin nung nakaraang dalawang linggo, di ko na siya nakita or mas magandang sabihin na hindi na siya nagpakita.

I know his workplace though, pero bakit ko naman siya pupuntahan? for what? so instead na magoverthink i get myself busy with work.

Well, lagi namang busy sa hospital. Minsan nga wala na akong tulog but this is my profession and I love doing this.

Dalawang linggo narin nung huli akong bumisita kay lolo since I have my own apartment and medyo malayo sa workplace ko, di ako sa bahay nila lolo umuuwi.

Isang katok ang nagpagising sa sobrang focus ko sa aking ginagawa. It was Uncle.

"Jina, How are you? you good?" Aniya habang lumalakad papunta sa upuan sa harap ko.

"Yes naman, uncle. Though, masyadong stressful since sobrang daming pasyente but I'm all good." I said while cleaning the mess on my table. I'll take rest while talking to Uncle.

He's like that kaya di na ako nagulat kung nagtanong siya nang ganyan. He's really sweet and understanding. Pareho sila ni Auntie.

They are always there to help me or someone na nangangailangan ng tulong. Especially nung naghingi ako nang tulong na ipasok ako dito sa hospital na pinagtratrabahuhan niya.

"Is it okay na pagusapan natin about sa kasal mo soon?" My body froze after I realized na malapit na nga ang kasal ko. Pero yung groom hanggang ngayon walang paramdam though his secretary is attentive sa mga nagyayari. He also hired a wedding organizer.

"O-okay lang naman po, Uncle.."

He sighed, " Are you sure about it? sabi nang lolo mo pwede ka namang mag back out. He'll accept your decision. Tito loves you so much, he won't sacrifice you kung hindi ka magiging masaya."

I plastered a smile to ease him, "This is my decision, Uncle. He always understand my decision and this is the only favour na ginawa ko for him. Lagi ako 'yung iniisip niya after my parents died. This is the time para siya naman sundin ko. This is all my decision, wala akong sisisihin kundi sarili ko."

and besides, yung company na yun yung nag dahilan kung bakit ako nakapagtapos and since i'm the only heiress. Sa akin mapupunta yun. Ayokong ibalewala yung sacrifices na ginawa ni lolo for that company.

He looked at me with pity in his eyes. I guess he wanted me to marry someone that I really love. Hindi 'yung pilitan.

"Okay, If you insist. Pero kung may problema ka. Do not hesitate to call me or tito." He hold me hand then laughed.

After that topic, we talked about different things and waste my 2 hours talking to Uncle. I'm really close to him since he is like my fatherly figure.

AFTER I OPENED THE DOOR, I immediately go to the bathroom to take a bath.

Nasa ospital ako for the past nineteen hours today buti nalang bukas wala akong shift. Though pag nakaproblema sa hospital. I should be ready.

After ko ma ligo I went to my bed and opened my laptop. I'm going to watch some movies to rest pero pagkatapos manood, i'll go to sleep.

I was busy in watching MCU when my phone rang. Halos maguumaga na nung nakauwi ako from hospital kaya gising ang mga tao ngayon, habang ako patulog palang.

I got up and answered my phone na nakalagay sa ibabaw ng lamesa ko sa kitchen.

It was Laye. My bestfriend since college, we've been together for almost 10 years? We met nung 18 kaming dalawa and ever since nung nagkakilala kami, di na kami naghiwalay.

Though, we have different set of friends since we kinda parted ways nung pagtapos ng graduation. She's also a doctor pero she needs to handle their restaurant business.

I wasn't jealous sa mga kaibigan niya. We are open, hindi kasi porque may bago nang kaibigan, kakalimutan ka na. Babawalan mong magkaroon ng ibang kaibigan 'yung best friend mo. I noticed it sa generation today, I find it really immature.

I pressed the answer button and put it in a loud speaker.

"Jinaaa! I miss youuu. Magkita tayo" I smiled because I was imagining her pouting her lips. She's so childish but I still love her."and let's have some fun! Pleasee.."

I chuckled and thought that I want to tease her even a lil. "What if I don't miss you?" I chuckled silently for her not to hear it.

"You didn't miss me?" I could hear the sadness in her voice, that's why I stopped teasing her.

"I'm just kidding, Laye. Of course I miss you. Where do you want to have some 'fun'?" Laye has a different definition of fun. When she said fun, I wasn't about shopping or partying. It's really an adventure.

I could hear her saying 'Yes', i bet she already have a plan.

"Let's go hike. Do you have something to do tomorrow?"

"None. I'm free tomorrow."

"Yey! Okay okay, I'll hang up na since I have a lot of customers. Byee." I was about to hang up the phone nung naririnig ko siyang pinipigilan ako.

"Wait, I just have to confirmed this. Ikakasal ka na daw?" you can hear the confusion on her voice. Nagulat ata siya sa kumalat na chismis.

"Yeah, Let's talk about this tomorrow, okay?"

"Hm, okay I understand. Bye, see you tomorrow!" Then she hanged up.

I sighed and go back to the bed to turn off my laptop. I'm really sleepy and I need a good sleep for tomorrow.

"LET'S REST A LITTLE BIT." Ani ko. Naghihike na kami for almost 3 hours and I asked to rest a little bit.

"Malapit na tayo. I could see the top alreadyyy." She excitedly said tapos umupo sa tabi ko para magpahinga rin.

Kinuha ko 'yung water bottle ko at uminom, I asked if she want some but she refused and grab her own water bottle.

After 10 minutes na pahinga. Tumayo na ako niyaya siyang umakyat na. Tumango naman siya at nauna na sa akin. She knows the way kaya siya na rin ang pinauna ko.

30 minutes na paghihike narating na rin namin yung tuktok ng bundok. Everytime na we accomplish something like this I always feel so good. I feel so much fulfilment.

We were both standing near the edge and admiring the view. It's almost sunset. When I heard her said something that melted my heart.

"If you need any help, Jina. I'm always here for you." She said while still looking at the sunset.

I hugged her so tight. Ang daming taong sobrang nagcacare sa akin and I'm so thankful sa kanila.
