Virgil stood there... He watched his only love die. He wanted to die. He grew up trying to toughen himself up.
He had no one. He had watched others die and not give two shits! He had cuts and scars all over him that didn't phase him at all! He grew up in the streets not knowing that love even egsisted!!!So Why did it hurt so much?
He grabbed his empty heater.
"I got the nurse to give this to you. Patton if you see Virgil can you tell him to look at a sunset sometime? It'll do him some good. I finally figured out what that poem meant pat. It meant when your a kid your gold like how you dig sunsets that's gold pat. Stay gold Patton stay gold"
Patton had yet to open the book that Roman had given him when he died.
Patton didn't get to tell Virgil to look at a sunset. Virgil was a boy who didn't love anything yet he loved Roman. He loved Roman til the end.
