Almost two weeks had gone by now since we'd returned to pack territory. Lina was kept true to her feline nature, often sleeping in, barging into my study unannounced, taking a nap in one of the cosy spots I'd installed there. Sometimes she'd wander around on pack ground and would only return in the wee hours of the night, in short, she kept me on edge most of the time.

The subject of marking hadn't come up again and my impatience was dwindling every day. However she never approached me and whenever I tried to get closer than the few feet radius she'd allowed until now, the anxious look on her face would dissuade me from doing anything.
