Sonadow The Necklace

Chapter 7

"DAMMIT SCOURGE YOU ARE GOING TO BREAK IT!" Shadow yelled angrily
Just to piss him off even more, Scourge decided to pull it harder
Shadow did not want it to bust, so he did the first thing that came to mind
He stood up and kicked Scourge in a VERY sensative area... (ouch X3)
"OW!" he yelped, as he let go of the necklace, and covered the area with his hands
Sonic winced, knowing that Shadow was fairly strong, and that is an area no one wants to be kicked in

Shadow looked at the necklace, and put it around his neck
He then slowly walked to a staring Sonic
When he was close enough, he grabbed Sonic's necklace, and connected it with his own
After reading it, he showed the full heart to her
I / Will
Love / You
For / ever
Shadow flipped the necklace over, revealing something Sonic hadn't noticed earlier
On the back of her half of the heart, was the name
'Shadow, the hedgehog'
On his half, was
'Sonic, the hedgehog'
She smiled at that, but also felt foolish that she hadn't seen that sooner
Shadow saw the she was blushing, and gave her a quick hug

"I.... have some questions..." she said awkwardly
"Go ahead" he replied
"1. Why did you go out with EVERY girl in the school, 2. Why do you stay with Rouge, and 3. Why weren't you wearing it when I first saw you"
Shadow did not hesitate once when he answered
"First, I went out with every girl, because, like you, I had no idea if the owner of the other half was in the school. But, I never had the same feeling I do when I am with you. Second, I stay with Rouge, because she is the toughest girl in the school, and, she still liked me even after I went out with every girl. Third, I was not wearing the necklace, because I am the toughest guy in school. What would I look like if I was wearing a half heart necklace? Not to mention that the other half didn't belong to Rouge, so that wouldn't play out well." he replied simply
"Are you going to wear it now?" she asked, while cuddling up against him
"I don't think Rouge will be happy about that"
Sonic looked dissapointed
"But-"
She looked up
"She will get over it anyway. Besides, as long as you are wearing your half, I will be happy to wear mine" he said with a smile
Sonic was very happy
Shadow leaned towards her, and they shared a passionate kiss

That very moment, Tails came into the backyard, when he noticed that the fighting had stopped
Sonic noticed, and quickly pulled away from Shadow
"Err.." she began
"It's ok, Sonic. I see that Shadow has the other half of the necklace" he said, while pointing at Shadow's neck
At that moment, Scourge had gotten up and kicked Shadow twice as hard in that sensative area
Sonic gasped, as Shadow dropped to his knees, obviously in pain
"See you at school, Sonic" Scourge said, with a wink, as he walked to his house
Tails had a hard time holding in his laughter, and (thankfully) succeeded
After Shadow had recovered, him and Sonic sat in the grass
Tails left them alone, knowing that Sonic probably wanted to spend some time with her new boyfriend

Next day; at school
Sonic and Shadow walked into school, holding each other's hands
Others stared at them, not because they were surprised that they were together... but the fact the Rouge apparently had not known
She flew towards the pair, and eyed both of their necklaces
"What's going on here?" she said in an angry voice, mostly directed at Sonic
Shadow stepped in front of her, and said
"I am breaking up with you, Rouge"
Rouge and Shadow had never broken up before, for real. She had never been dumped before, actually
"You just met her, and you already think she is your soulmate?!" she screamed with rage
"I don't think, I know" he said, with a smile
This made Sonic blush a little, but was standing behind him, so he did not notice
Rouge knew she was weaker than Shadow, and simply turned her back on him
"Hmph" she said, with her arms crossed, and head held high as she walked away
"She took that a lot easier than I expected" Sonic said
Shadow laughed at that
When they got into the classroom, Sonic let go of Shadow's hand, and said
"Go to your seat, Ill be there in a second" as she lightly kissed him

She then walked over to Knuckles
"Hey Knuclehead"
He looked up at her, not even reacting to what she had just called him
"I heard that Rouge is single now" she said, with a wink as she walked back to her seat
Shadow had heard what she said
"What was that all about" he asked
"I know Knuckles likes her, he always stares at her... haven't you noticed?" she asked
"No, I was too busy looking at you." he said, with a smile
All of the other students seemed to relax around Shadow, because it seemed that he had softened every since Sonic came around
She was the only one that could keep Shadow from losing his temper, and bullying others.
Everybody at school seemed contempt with the new conditions, even Rouge had found a new boyfriend, and Tails was not bothered that Shadow came around a lot
