The young man in the alleyway I had met was beyond strange. His clothes were nothing I had ever seen before and his hair seemed to be a mixture of the darkest black I have ever seen and a dark blue that could only be seen on expensive clothing, not to mention it was in a style I hadn't seen on any man before.
When I found him he was unconscious and had a nasty gash on the side of his head that could only be retained by falling quite hard. However his looks now concern me even more. His eyes keep darting around and out of the alleyway in looks of total confusion. This boy kept asking me questions about recent events and history. I answered mostly with the war in which we gained our independence and the constant struggle for our government to control its now independent people's.
I defeated sigh escaped his lips and he looked towards the sky. "either I'm in the most remote town there is to man kind or I've broken the rules of time and space" he puffed out a short laugh "guess which one of those is more believable"
His voice was high pitched. If I hadn't seen him I would have believed him to be a girl.
I looked at him worryingly "I done want to put any more worry on your mind sir but you have blood on the side of your forehead"
His hands flew up to this side of his forehead. He hissed as he gingerly touched the skin. I briskly stood up and grabbed his shoulders pulling him off the ground "I'll take you to my home To get that patched up"

I walked down to the dark streets of upstate new york slowly with the man clinging to my arm as started to become unsteady "I'm sorry"
"no need for apologies I don't mind" I responded.
We reached the outside of my house when I saw my dad looking quite stressed stomping up to the house with papers in hand "pa!" I called out. He stopped and his eyes widened and he made his way over to me "philip what are you doing out so late?" his eyes shifted to the boy in my arms "who is this?"
I swiftly explained the situation and Pa hooked his arm around his back. Dragging him up the stairs was easy but when Pa opened the door we were bombarded with questions from my mother and younger sisters about our late arrival.
Angelina's attention was drawn to the boy in our arms "who is that?"
Mothers hands flew to her mouth in shock at seeing the blood slowly trickle down his face "Eliza get some medical supplies and a maid. We'll carry him up to the spare bed room". The women quickly ran into another one of the rooms in the large house.
Pa pulled him out of my hands and hooked his arm under his legs and carried him to a near by bedroom and dropping him on the bed.

When morning came the situation was no less strange. The boy was sleeping soundly in one of the guest bedrooms with me monitoring him to make sure his condition didn't worsen over night. The family doctor had already been around to check on him and after 15 minutes of inspection he had concluded the boy was fine but if the symptoms were to change in anyway, to contact him immediately.
