We drove back home in relative silence while we all looked at the 'passport'. Apparently these books will let us pass through the borders of other countries.

A week passed and Thomas was becoming normal again. Although she still looked sad. At least she was talking to us again. We all were doing well at our jobs but we still didn't have enough money for all 5 of us to go on a trip to America.

I sighed realising it would take longer then we anticipated to get home. I walked to the small music room Thomas had to see her playing the piano. It was a fast melody but a smooth one she was playing "how do you play that fast" I asked. She shrugged keeping her body to the piano.

"practice I guess" she answered "would you like to hear a sound?"

I nodded and she pressed the notes in a different order and a lot slower.

It's not what I asked for
Sometimes life just slips in through a back door
And carves out a person and makes you believe it's all true
And now I've got you
And you're not what I asked for
If I'm honest, I know I would give it all back
For a chance to start over and rewrite an ending or two
For the girl that I knew

She took in a deep breath and a tear rolled down her cheek.

Who'll be reckless, just enough
Who'll get hurt, but who learns how to toughen up
When she's bruised and gets used by a man who can't love
And then she'll get stuck
And be scared of the life that's inside her
Growing stronger each day 'til it finally reminds her
To fight just a little, to bring back the fire in her eyes
That's been gone, but used to be mine
Used to be mine

"he used to be mine"

I hugged her and let her sob into my shoulder "its okay" he whispered.
