Jefferson is devastated after breaking a 3 year winning streak at the Blue Swords, Junior Grand Prix event. His life is in shambles and he can't seem to think straight. Until he gets back on the ice and runs into someone that could change his life.

THOMAS POV
I pull on a pair of purple goggles and run down the beach toward the water. I dive into the gorgeous blue water to be met with a gorgeous coral reef of more colors than one could comprehend. A large clownish swims past and I come up to the surface to call for Alex.
Alex slowly wades up to his waist and clings to my arm. He giggles into my shoulder as I pull him onto my back. "THOMAS! LOOK A TURTLE!" He yells pointing to a large sea turtle. "I thought turtles were johns thing?" I ask. "Thomas. EVERYONE likes turtles!" He says resting his chin on my head. "Do you want to go under?" I ask as we reach chest level. "Sure... just, if I tap your shoulder can we go up?"
"Sounds good," I say and take a breath. We submerge our heads and take in the reefs. We float past Brain andMillepora corals. Blue tangs and Angel fish and even the Turtle from earlier. I feel a tap on my shoulder and rise to the surface. "That was awesome!" Alex yells throwing his hands up. "I'm going to call the turtle Sheldon," Alex says reaching out to touch the loggerhead turtle. "It suits him." I chuckle.
We explore the reefs for hours. By the time we returned to the beach, it was 5 o'clock and the sun was on the brink of setting. We set down our towels and sunbathe in the fading light.
Alex rolls off his towel and lays on my chest. "This is literally the polar opposite of ice skating." He mumbles. "I guess it is." I laugh quietly.
"Thank you, Thomas." Alex whispers before leaning down and kissing me. The kiss is warm and tender. Much like our first kiss, not a lustful passionate kiss or a small grade school peck. A soft and gentle kiss, fueled by love.
We sit in an embrace in silence watching the sun sink past the horizon. "One day," I whisper into Alex's hair. "One day we're going to build a house here. We'll own this beach, it will be ours alone."
