Chapter 13

"Wow, so why did he move back so suddenly?" I asked Jacob. "More importantly, why did he move here?" Jacob looked uneasy the whole ride to school. I had no clue what to do. Actually, I didn't really have a clue as to what was going on.

We arrived at school and went to our lockers. Mark's locker was across from mine on the other side of the hall. I looked over only to see Stacey talking to him. I rolled my eyes. I walked to my first class and Mark wasn't in it. Thank god. I couldn't stand seeing Jacob hurt. Crap! I need to talk to Liam! I haven't seen him since... well, you know. Since Stacey punched me. I walked over to him and he ran over to me. I was embraced with a big hug. "Woah there! Happy to see me?" I laughed. "I can't believe Stacey would do something like that! I'm just glad you are ok." Ok? Did he not hear that I have 3 months... "Ok? As in 'I have 3 months to live ok?'" He looked shocked. "YOU WHA- I am so sorry! I had no clue... I can't believe you only have 3 months. Why, though?" "It's brain cancer. I've had it for a wh-" All of the sudden Liam walked away. I was literally just talking to him... a bit rude, eh? 

I didn't see Liam for the rest of the day. As soon as I got home, I made myself a snack because, you know, I'm always hungry. Soon after, I got a text from Lilia.

Lilia: OMG, did u know stacey is cheating on mark with liam?

Me: stacey needs to chill lol

This text really hurt me. Stacey and Liam? Already back together? I hate getting my hopes up. Just when I thought Liam and I had a chance...

Me: hey i really need someone to talk to...

Jacob: I'm always here for you

Me: liam and stacey got back together or whatever

Jacob: What?! Are you ok???? 

Me: yeah, i just wished liam liked me the way i liked him...

Jacob: Same with Stacey...

Me: i don't understand why the people we like can't like us back 🙁

Jacob: Wait... I've got the perfect idea

Me: ?

Jacob: We should fake date to make Liam and Stacey jealous!!

Me: erm idk

Jacob: YES

Me: fine, but only for a day

Me: if everything goes well, we can continue.

Jacob: Yes!!

Me: 😂

Fake dating Jacob? I'm not really sure how I feel about this. How are his fans going to react to this? Ugh, I would really do anything to have Liam like me, though. I just can't get why Jacob is so attached to Stacey. Hasn't he seen what a monster she is? I guess we'll see how everything goes tomorrow at school. I don't think I'm going to tell my friends that I'm fake dating Jacob. That might kind of ruin everything, and then our cover will be blown. Only time will tell. 

I hop into the shower after texting Jacob. I wash my hair and my body. Once I'm done, I brush my teeth and then put on my PJ's. I finish up some homework and then climb into bed. I turn on Netflix as I slowly drift to sleep, wondering what tomorrow would be like...
