Chapter 29

It's now been 2 weeks since I got out of the hospital. Stacey had a doctors appointment for the baby today, and Jacob was going with her. It was a Sunday so I got out of bed and brushed my teeth. I also had a doctors appointment today, to find out whether my cancer was gone or not.

I put on black jeans and a white shirt. (Pictured Above In Media.) After I ate my breakfast, my mom motioned for me. I walked outside and hopped in the passenger seat of her car. When we got to the doctors office, Liam was already there. He said he wanted to be there for me.

I walked in and signed myself in. I sat down next to Liam. "I'm sure you'll be fine." He said, grabbing my hand. "Emma Wells." A doctor called me back. I walked back hand-in-hand with Liam. Once I was sitting on the patient bed, they ran a bunch of tests.

It felt like an hour before the doctor came back in. "I've got good news." He said, smiling and taking his seat. "Your cancer is gone!" I jumped up and hugged my mom, then Liam. My mom talked with the doctor as we left the room. I took a picture with Liam and posted it. I captioned it, "Cancer-free girl right here! 🎉💖"

I had gotten a bunch of likes and a lot of comments. Even a comment from Jacob saying, "I knew it 😊❤️" Afterwards, my mom decided to take Liam and I out to lunch. We ate at Zoe's Kitchen since it was right across the street from the doctor's office. That's when I got a text from Jacob.

Jacob: I'm so happy your cancer is gone!! 

Me: thank youu 😊

Jacob: Are you feeling any better than yesterday?

Me: yeah, a lot! how's the doctors appointment going?

Jacob: That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about.

Me: what's going on?

Jacob: Can we meet up later?

Jacob: 3:00 at the park?

Me: sure, see you then

What could Jacob want to tell me? And why do we have to meet at the park just for him to tell me something? It's was 1:30 now, so I decided it was time to leave. 

"I'm meeting a friend at the park at 3:00, Mom." She nodded her head and paid for the bill. Liam hugged me bye and left after we left Zoe's Kitchen. 

I climbed into my mom's car and we drove to our house. It was 2:00 when we got to my house. I decided to change clothes and put on make-up since I didn't for the doctors appointment. 

I wanted to walk to the park, since it wasn't that far away. I got to the park around 2:50 and sat on the swings. Jacob wasn't here yet, so I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram. 

Not much had been happening on instagram these past couple of days, but I did have a couple of posts I was tagged in. There were a couple fan accounts for me and they had posted a lot about me. 

There were mostly just "Get well soon!" posts. I felt someones hands cover my eyes. "Guess who!" I laughed and took the hands off my eyes. 

"Jacobbbb!" I said turning around to see Jacob. He laughed and sat in the swing beside me. "So what's so important we had to come all the way to the park?" He took a deep breath before telling me. 

"It's about Stacey."
