Chapter 28

I just stood there. I had no clue how to react. I slowly walked over to Jacob, wanting to hug him. All of the sudden, monitors and beepers started going off everywhere. Doctors rushed into the room and Jacob stepped back. 

"We're losing her!" One of the doctors yelled. The pulled out a defibrillator and shocked me once. Nothing happened. I stood there staring at myself. I was watching myself die. How could this be happening?

They shocked me again. Still, nothing. I ran over to my now lifeless body. "Please... you need to come back. Work with me here!" I tried shaking my body. The doctors stated my time of death and slowly exited the room. 

Jacob was in the corner of the room crying. He walked over to my and held my hand. "You can say your goodbyes, but we should alert the family and we need to take her out soon." He slowly leaned down to kiss me.

My eyes suddenly opened and I was gasping for air. I was laying in a hospital bed. Jacob was peering over me. "SHE'S ALIVE!" He yelled. A doctor came in and took Jacob. "We understand you are trying to cope, but she isn't coming back. It would be best if you accepted-"

"Um, hi..." I said to the doctor. He whipped his head around. "W-what!?" He ran and got some other doctors. "How is this possible!?" One of the doctors gasped. A couple minutes later, my parents rushed into the room.

"We got a call that you were dead, and then you were alive. It's truly a miracle." My mom said hugging me. My dad rushed over to me and hugged me, too. "Where's Ethan and Ellie?" I asked, curious as to why they weren't here. "They will be here any minute. Ethan was at Toys R Us with her so they weren't caught up in this mess..."

"So Ethan was nice for once?" My mom laughed. "Ethan is always nice, what are you talking about?" We all laughed, remembering the times he had 'teased' me. My parents left to go talk to some doctors. Jacob walked in and sat down beside of me. 

"Hey. How are you feeling?" He asked me shyly. "Good, I guess." He held his hand out and put my hand in his. "Listen, I-" I sat up in my bed and kissed him. I hadn't realized it, but Jacob was the one I wanted. Not Liam. 

I broke the kiss to see Jacob smiling. "What a coincidence." He said, still smiling. I looked over to the doorway to see Liam. "Liam, please! It's-" He ran away from the room. "What have I done?" I asked myself, putting my head in my hands. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." Jacob said before leaving the room.

I can't believe I may have just ruined the one thing I have been waiting forever for. A couple minutes later, Lilia and all my friends were there. I told them what happened. "I knew you two would happen! I saw it from day 1!" Vee shouted, jumping up and down."

"It's not like that. I have Liam, and he has Stacey."
