"Mari... Mari!" I snapped out of my thoughts concisely, Hoseok was holding the door ajar to his car.

"We're here?" The dazzling building gleamed up front, I hadn't noticed our arrival.

"Yeah, let's go!" He beamed in excitement.

My mind wandered, rewinding back to the scene of Mr. Jeon and that girl. It was distracting me repeatedly. And he was naming me as the slut or whore, I scoffed from that recall.

Walking along side with Hoseok, he studied my face a few times.

"Everything okay?" He held his thumb out wavering it up and down.

I let out a sigh. "Yeah! Where are we eating? I'm hungry." I pouted, rubbing my belly. I shoved the thoughts away and focused my mind on Hoseok. Dinner with Hoseok was something I've always imagined of having, sitting across from each other with a casual conversation. I didn't feel as excited as I would've thought to feel, a feeling of tiredness overcame me.

"Hmmm...you'll see, follow me." He intermingled his fingers with mine easily and led me to a deluxe restaurant. Not completely luxurious, but my outfit wasn't as fitting.

"Hoseok, I don't think my clothing is suitable..." I tugged his hand back gently.

"Don't worry, you look perfect." He exposed that lavish smile again, I could sense my face blushing from his comment.

We walked into the restaurant with a stream of soft music in tune.

"Reservation under the name of Jung Hoseok." He addressed the waiter. I looked down at our clasped hands that were tightly pressed together. His hands soft, warm, and comfortable kindled a fuzzy feeling inside.

Guiding me to our seating he let go of our grasp, holding the chair out for me as a gentleman gesture.

"Thank you, Hoseok." I adjusted efficiently to the seat.

"My pleasure~" He spoke in English, I couldn't help but giggle from his accent.

"What's so funny?" He fixed the white napkin on his lap.

"Nothing."

"You better not be laughing at me..." He pouted with his cheeks, they were so adorably round I wanted to pinch them so bad.

"Don't do that..." I put my head down in almost embarrassment.

"What this? Puing~ puing~" He brought his fists to his face, I bit my lower lip from his aegyo.

I sighed in bashfulness, covering my face as the other girls next to our table stared at him in awe.

He chuckled at my reaction.

The food arrived readily, Hoseok took my plate in replace with his. The meat was cut nicely in bite size pieces. He was cutting the other piece of meat in silence, his eyes focusing on the tough slice.

"Eat." He caught my stare.

My heart fluttering of his kindness, my mouth watered as I looked at the juicy meat. I nodded and stuffed the meat in my mouth.

We talked about our day, music, and told each other funny jokes.

"Have you listened to Tinashe's new song??" His head dipped forward, a fork and knife stuck in his hands.

"No, I haven't had time..." I shook my head, tasting the grilled beef slide along my tongue. It was so cooked perfectly, I hadn't had meat like this. Especially since my aunt forbidden me of eating with the family.

"Oh Mari you're missing out, it's my jam right now. All handseu on deck~ like that~" He sung with a rough voice as his shoulders bounced up and down

I almost choked on my food and couldn't help but laugh with the back of my palm covering my mouth. "Hoseok, I can't with you."

The dinner came to an end, my stomach was honestly loaded from the entire course.

"I'm so full!" I stretched out my arms as we exited the dining.

"You're welcome~" He nudged my shoulder, jamming the receipt in his back pocket.

"Thank you." My voice almost turned quiet, I couldn't look at his handsome face and say those words, my mind would become blank. Too blank to even construct further words out of my mouth.

"Mari." He twirled to meet me, his stance was close that I almost bumped into him. He shoved his hands down his khaki pockets, his head tilting down, eyes almost searching for mine.

He's never looked at me this way.

"Hm?" My eyes wandered in avoidance, picking the skin off my index finger unknowingly.

He scratched the back of his head, a silent breeze only heard from the atmosphere. Cars rolling in the streets in a hurry.

"I need to tell you something."

His tone was serious, having me nervous and worried.

"Is something wrong Hoseok?"

"No, no. Nothing's wrong." His hands picked up mine to be enclosed in his palms.

"What is it?" I managed to look up at him, his eyes connecting with mine. It felt unusual and a different aura encapsulated in his pupils. Not the nature of a friendship but of something more.

"Mari, I... like you."
