Victoria POV:

I awoke to a very loud bang, well I can't really say it woke me up because I was already awake. There had been no sleep for me last night, all I could think about was what I'd begun thinking about in the shower. Why had I agreed to become a vampire? It seems everything that has happened since 1100 was because I'd become a vampire that day Mikael arrived in France. Maybe if I had declined then I'd have travelled with the Mikaelsons instead of going to Scotland with Sage.

I'd have been there when those hunters daggered the Mikaelsons and I'd have built relationships stronger than the ones I had. Eventually I would have been turned, I always knew I wanted that, but if I had waited then I could have avoided everything bad that has happened since. Perhaps Katerina wouldn't have been found by Trevor, although I knew he'd have found her anyways.

I was descending the stairs now in search of the cause for such a loud noise. It surprised me that Sylvester had not woken up, when I passed his room he was still sleeping. There were quiet voices coming from a place in the house and I soon found them when I turned to look at the front door. Standing right outside the door was a very awake Elijah Mikaelson and right inside the door was my niece. "Elijah."

Heads snapped over to me and I could see Elena's eyes considerably widen when she faced me, I don't think she expected to get caught. "Tori!" She greeted, her voice even lower than a whisper, but I heard it. "What are you doing awake?" She asked, her brows creasing down the middle as she spoke. It was a habit I recognized my mother had done frequently. Perhaps it was a Petrova thing that I had not picked up on, then again, my mother wasn't Petrova by birth.

"I didn't even sleep." I admitted, focusing in on the Mikaelson who was still standing outside the door. "There was a bang so I came to investigate." Elena nodded her head slowly as I took a few steps closer to the pair. I knew exactly why Elena would want to wake Elijah, but why had she done it? Even I couldn't bring myself to pull the dagger out, I'd shoved it right back in when she and Stefan returned last night.

As I came to a stop not an inch inside the door, I looked between the Original Vampire and the doppelgänger. "Oh." Elena didn't say anything else and I assumed she thought I was mad at here which I should be, but I found myself relieved that Elijah was here once again. The only problem was whether or not he would still help after what they had done. "I'll get a blood-bag." Elena offered, not waiting a second for a reply as she scurried off and out of sight.

"How long was I in that basement?" Elijah inquired as soon as my niece was out of sight. I could tell the Mikaelsons usually wondered that when they woke up, it was something Rebekah had pointed out to me. They wanted to know how much of their eternity they had missed out on so they knew whether or not things had changed in the world. "Victoria."

I broke away from my thoughts and looked up at him. "Not even a week." I responded, thinking back to how long ago the dinner party was. When I said that out loud it seemed so unrealistic as so much had happened. Katerina got out of the tomb, Luka and Jonas had been killed, Isobel came to town, Elena was kidnapped again, Katerina was taken, Isobel was killed, Niklaus arrived in town and took over Alaric's body, and the Decade Dance last night.

"I'm assuming that is why Elena had not been taken from us." He declared and I nodded my head, there hadn't been another full moon since he came to the tomb. This surprised me, it had been less than a month since I was tossed back into the world of Mikaelsons and I'd already managed to forgive Elijah for what he had done. 518 years of misery all forgiven in less than a month. "I noticed the abundance of cars in the driveway."

I peeked around the corner and saw all the cars that were parked outside, Elijah was right. "Yes, well, we've had a few more visitors." I told him, leaning up against the wall while staying inside the door, if I stepped outside there would be no telling whether or not I could possibly be safe, maybe Elijah thought I'd been in on his death. "Right after you got Stefan and I out of the tomb a girl I turned in Sweden found me, her name is Riley. There was also my-a girl I know from a while ago, she found me. Then the day after you were-you know-Sylvester came into town." I purposely left out the fact that Leigh was my sister, he didn't need to know that until he met her and I could properly explain.
