Song is All You Leave Behind by Hannah Cartwright and Ross Tones
Victoria POV:
I woke in my room, the sheets from the bed wrapped tightly around me. The sun was coming through the window and I smiled. "Good morning." Riley grinned at me and I noticed her presence beside the bed, but something much more worrisome came to my mind.
"Hey." I greeted her in return, pushing myself up into a sitting position. "What happened last night? I don't even remember anything after.. Oh my god! Tell me what happened, now. Did we even kill Niklaus? Is Stefan okay? Better yet, is Jenna okay? Where's Elijah? Where's Elena? Oh my god, why am I so confused?"
Riley laughed at my continuous inquiries. "Damon brought you here about an hour ago, you fell asleep at the witch house last night." I sighed, dropping back onto the bed. "Stefan and Elena are perfectly fine, she's human." I laughed once at this news before realizing what Stefan being alive meant. Jenna's dead now, so is John. Can't say I'm sad to see John go, but I still feel thankful that he would give up his own life for my niece, his daughter.
"How's Elena taking it?" I had to ask, I wanted to know if she was alright or if I was going to need to comfort her. She'd just lost the only parental figures she had left, all that remained of her family was Jeremy, Leigh and I. The rest of her family was dead, they wouldn't be coming back.
Riley took a seat beside me on the bed. "She's not taking it too well, but we're burying them today." I rolled off the bed and walked over to my closet, I had to have some form of funeral attire in here. "But to soften that blow, Jules was the werewolf Klaus used." I tried to keep my grin back for Elena's sake, I couldn't smile on the day we were having a funeral, but I couldn't keep it in. "Now for the really bad news."
"What really bad news?" My smile dropped and I spun around to face Riley, probably the only friend I could ever truly count on. She did almost everything I said, she always took my side because she didn't really know anyone else here. The only times she ever talked to anyone else was when she had to. "Where's Elijah?" I repeated one of my questions, looking around the room in hopes that I'd missed him.
Sure, I wasn't exactly getting along with him at the moment, but if Niklaus had killed him I don't think I'd be able to take it. Then again, if Niklaus killed anyone then he would kill everyone. "Elijah took Niklaus." My eyes widened, out of all things, I wasn't expecting that. Elijah had said he would kill Niklaus, he'd given a thousand reasons why and yet, he couldn't do it.
"Took him where?" I questioned, putting the black dress I was holding back on the rack and grabbing a different one. "Oh my god, Niklaus won't let that slide, Elijah tried to kill him! We all did! He's going to kill us." I muttered, beginning to go into a form of panic. This wasn't good, the second Niklaus caught us, we were all dead. "As soon as we finish up here, we're leaving town."
Riley furrowed her eyebrows, obviously not understanding. "Why? Can't you reason with him?" She asked, following me as I walked out of my bedroom and began heading down the hallway towards Leigh's to let her know the exact same thing. "Sylvester's already left, I don't think they could handle the rest of us being gone too!"
"Sylvester's what?" I hissed, turning back around to face her. "He's gone? As in no longer here?" She nodded her head and I cursed under my breath. If Sylvester was gone then I could only assume he knew just how angry and vengeful Niklaus would be. "Are you planning to go to the funeral? Or are you one of those people that can't handle funerals? Cause I'm one of those people."
I turned back to Leigh's bedroom door and pushed it open, noticing she was already working on packing her bags. "Heard you, Victoria. Vampire, remember?" She pointed to her ears and I smiled, knowing she had the same idea as me. We couldn't remain in this town without getting ourselves killed.
