Basmahs POV.

Today is a friday and we are all wearing our sport wears, which included black sweat pants and short sleeved blue shirts. Me and Arfa are walking to the Basketball court to meet up with Mahra the early bird Who i bet is already there. Its 10:36am, we start our sports from 10 to 12pm every friday, the sports mostly included Basketball, football, handball and badminton. We play basketball ball almost all times except once in a while that we run after a ball kicking it different directions pointlessly football. Me, Mahra, Arfa and zubaida are playing on the same team While the other team is four juniors from Jss3 playing against.

Halfway through the game we have 12 points and the juniors have 6 points yes we are good in Basketball. The Senior boys arrived, they stopped on the court and gave us looks like we are kids contesting for candies. They sat not so far from where we are and continued watching. Jamal and Amir are among as well and even though i was busy with this game i could hear them saying they will play against us once we are done with the juniors, cause they are losing and they can beat us without breaking a sweat, when i heard them talking, i could not help but object. When the ball came my direction i seized it and held it to my waist, then turned to see the human poles talking.
"what makes you think you can beat us" I asked hysterically.

Jamal seemed asumed raised an eyebrow and spitted "what makes you think we cant?"

I put a hand on my waist while the other held the ball in place, i took a step towards them then challenged "Lets play and clear doubts"

Arfa quickly came towards me and pulled me back "Noo!! we wont play Basmah, Jamal dont mind her, can we continue our game now??" she turned to me. Unfortunately for her i had my mind set, how dare he say so, cause he taller? Hes' joking with short beings...

I looked daggers at Jamal "we will play Arfa, new game, now"

Jamal smiled then stood up, looked into my eyes like he is looking for something lost, and said "as you wish smiley"

I gave him a questioning look on the name he used on me, smily? Who is that? He saw my facial expression but only rose an eyebrow to it, i narrowed my eyes before letting it slide.

We took formations then Ameer called a junior to toss the ball in
the air for us. Of course the boys are taller so they got the ball before us, never the less, did it slow our effort, i ran to take my normal position which is close to the post. We are playing a game of 10, four against four, half court game. My initial team versus Jamal, Amir, Mahir and Yusuf.

After a couple of minutes the boys took the lead with 4-0.
And in a fortunate event, the ball was passed to Amir and lucky for us, he was looking otherwise so he didnt catch the ball, i took the oppurtunity with sudden adrenaline that pumped in my system.

I ran as fast as my feet can take me, i caught the ball just before it hit the ground, i turned back to leave for my previous position, i bounced the ball along the way runing to the rim to shoot, then i bumped into a wall in the middle of the air, it wasnt a wall, it was someones chest, the ball dropped from my hand and i almost lost my balance, my foot that was suppose to land didnt land, i missed my step but somehow i was still stable, i regained my balance before i met the ground, a hand helped me holding me by my elbows while my hand found its way to the mid air wall.
I raised my head to see the one am grateful and ungrateful for,
who cost me a win, but didnt let me fall, Jamal..

He held my gaze in his dark brown eyes,
He left me breathless when he smiled,
He radiated a foreign emotion to my heart...
