Logan

I walked into the school, facing Stella as soon as I made my way through the doors. God, she was beautiful. Her gold dress accentuated her small curved figure. The black eyeliner she had on contrasted with her big green eyes and her red painted lips made me want to kiss them even more than I already did. All I wanted to do was talk to her.

I've been miserable these past few days without her. I even tried to talk to her a few times, but then I reminded myself she wanted time and I have to respect that, but I don't know how much longer I can go. I actually did talk to her yesterday in gym after we both made each other fall on the floor, but she walked away before I managed to say anything that was remotely important out of my mouth. I had no idea when I met her that things would have turn out this way. I mean, her mom said that Stella had feelings for me, and at first I didn't believe it, but maybe she's right. I wanted to not care, but no matter how hard I tried to deny anything that came to my mind, it automatically got shot down. I have feelings for her that just won't go away.

From four feet away, I saw frustration in her eyes as I gazed into them. It destroyed me that I hurt her that bad. She looked scared as I took a step toward her, but all she did was back away slowly while my hand reached out to touch her. I wanted to just touch her so bad.

Everyone realized the doors to the gym were open and they all stampeded towards them. Everyone including Stella. She looked relieved and then followed her friends toward the crowd gathering around the entrance to the gymnasium. I watched her leave, but she glanced back at me one last time before I couldn't see her anymore. I averted my gaze from where Stella used to stand and eyed a girl who I've seen around the school a few times. She gave me a flirty smile and batted her eyelashes. I started walking over to her, hoping she would distract me.

Stella

Once I entered the gymnasium and everyone started to spread out into their own groups of friends, I found myself looking for Logan. It didn't take me long, though. I had a clear shot of Logan as he stood against the lockers with some girl while I leaned up against the cold wall of the gym. I stood with Macy, her boyfriend, Alivia, Frankie, and Teddy while they were all talking about something, but I couldn't pay attention to that when Logan was out in the hallway with some girl on top of him.

"Earth to Stella" Teddy waved his hand in front of my face, taking me out of my daze.

"What?" I snapped.

"What were you looking at?" Alivia asked while squinting her eyes like I was trying to hide something from them.

"Nothing" I answered, raising my eyebrows, hoping they wouldn't notice who I was staring at. My heart started to beat faster as Frankie, Teddy, and Alivia glanced over in the direction where Logan stood against the lockers.

"Girl, you don't need him, he's dumb if he's not here standing next to you right now" Teddy tried to make me feel better, but it didn't work.

"That's the thing, though" I begin to speak before I looked at Logan for the last time. "I told him I needed some time, so he's not going to talk to me until I say that I don't need time anymore, that's the way he is" I explained to them.

"Wait a sec" Alivia brought up her hand, indicating she was pausing to think. "You're telling me that you could be with him right now, but you said you needed some time, so he's not gonna talk to you" she had a confused look plastered on her face.

"Uh, yeah, that's what I said"

"Then what the hell are you doing sitting here talking to us? Go talk to him" she voiced enthusiastically.
