Chapter 40: Just friends part 1

This was gonna be a separate story then a couple things occurred to me
1. I have to many stories
2. Who am I kidding I can't write slow burn so this might end up being like 5 chapters/parts

Jugheads P.O.V
In Jugheads defence...he was drunk ok that sounds bad not so drunk that everything went out the window and he didn't have a sane thought in his head. He was buzzed at most and he was at a party which is a thing Jughead didn't expect to do. Betty had asked him to go with her in their shared journalism class and he could never say no to Betty.

That was his first mistake, actually going out to a social event. The second was when they got there and noticed very quickly that everyone was drinking. That wasn't surprising it was a collage party for god sake, what was surprising was when Betty handed him a glass and said bottoms up.

The third mistake was about 5 minutes later when Betty who was also buzzed was telling him what a good guy he was and such a great friend. Her final sentence before it all went wrong was "I always wondered what your lips tasted like" of course Jughead response was "do you want to find out?" Betty's nod was all the ok Jughead needed before he pressed his lips against Betty's.

Everything went downhill from there or in Jugheads mind up. (hehe) Next thing he knows Betty is dragging them away from the party towards his and Archie's room. Thankfully Archie is out of town, him and Veronica left early to visit their parents in Riverdale, Jughead didn't understand the rush in waiting a couple days but said bye anyway promising that they would meet when Jughead came in a couple days. It doesn't matter how buzzed Jughead was he will never forget the sounds that Betty made that night. She moaned underneath him for hours while he pleasured her to their hearts content.

That was three days ago, Betty left the next morning but not after they had the talk because Betty was nothing if not upfront.
"Look Jughead last night was amazing but" of course there's a but
"I'm not looking for a serious relationship right now, I'm too busy with all my school work."
"Well that's unfortunate because in my mind I was planning our wedding we would have in 5 years." Betty laughed
"How about we... keep things casual."
"You mean a friends with benefits situation?" Jughead asked
"Yeah, if that's ok with you" this was the final mistake he made.

"Yeah of course if that's what you want"
"Great so how do you want to do this?"
"First of all I don't want anyone to know"
"Agreed but that's gonna be difficult since we both have roommates."
"Roommates who happen to be dating and thus leaving one room empty on a weekly basis."She smiled
"True, ok don't tell anyone got it. I have a request as well"
"Go for it"
"No pet names"
"Got it, is Betts still ok?"
"Of course"
"Good" Jughead smiled
"Oh and no spending the night, someone is bound to find out then"
"I have a loophole in that, studying for finals, you always crashed in my room last year."
"Ok that's fair only platonic sleepovers, anything else?"
"No I'm good"
"Well then Betty Copper I declare us officially friends with benefits."
"Sounds good, guess I'll be seeing you around Riverdale, see you then."

She waved goodbye as she left his room and he immediately collapsed on his couch. What has he done? Jughead wasn't a animal but he had been in love with Betty for years and now that he knows what it's like to be with her he's not sure he can go back.

Now he's sitting in his Dads house, yes a house not the trailer they had. Eventually his Dad cleaned up his act for good and was back in business with Fred Andrews again and both of them were working harder then ever. Jellybean even came to visit from Toledo and brought her new girlfriend Lisa he smiled and shaked Lisa's hand, he gave her the same speech he gave to everyone he's met that Jellybeans dated he was in a gang and if you hurt JB then you better watch out.

He didn't actually mean it well not all of it he did love his sister and her happiness is important to her. This time though he wasn't his moody self, this may have something to do with a certain blond on his mind that he would only mention that she's doing well and studying just as hard as he is.

"You seem in a happy mood, that's rare considering there's only four of us when there should be five." Jellybean said over dinner
"What? I can't be happy to see my little sister and my father?"
"Uh huh, what's her name?" JB asked
"What? There's no girl"
"The only time you've been this happy is whenever there's burgers around or your seeing someone."
"Well we are near food aren't we?"
"Dad back me up here" JB said looking to their dad for support
"Oh like Dad wants to discuss his sons sex life"

"There is someone! I never mentioned sex I just said you were seeing someone so did you finally hook up with someone? It's about time you were mopping around after you broke up with Sabrina." I sighed and looked at Lisa
"I apologize for my sisters lack of filter"
"Oh please I get it from you" I opened my mouth to object
"She does"
"Dad!" Jughead groaned this was gonna be harder then he thought.
