Chapter 45: Stuck part 2

Betty's P.O.V
When we stepped out of the bathroom Veronica disappeared to find Archie and Jughead walked up to me, hands in his pockets with a smile
"You look amazing Betts, Veronica was right"
"Veronica?"

"She picked out the dress I paid for it"
"I should have known this is something Veronica would do" Jughead chuckled
"Worth it though" my eyes widened as a thought came to mind
"Please don't tell me you didn't spend a fortune on this dress" Jughead shrugged and held out his hand.
"Care to dance" I nodded and took his hand he smiled and lead us to the dance floor. A new song started and I was surprised when he twirled me around a couple times, then proceeded to dip me.
I caught my breath and he pulled me back up again still in shock
"Surprised?" Jughead asked
"I've just never seen you dance before"
"Trust me Betty I'm full of surprises"

The rest of the night was a blur all I remember is me, Jughead and the dance floor by the end of the night I was smiling and my feet where killing me but it was worth it. Jughead then grabbed my arm at this point I gave up trying to see what he had up his sleeve and followed him along with Veronica and Archie to a nearby hotel. He went up to the front clerk leaving me with Veronica who just raised her eyebrow at me

"What?" I asked
"Fun night?" She asked with a smirk
"Well I..." I started to say but I could feel myself blush and before I could think of a response Jughead came back handing Veronica and Archie a set of key cards, they said goodnight then left leaving me alone with Jughead.
"This one is for you" He said handing me a key card.

"Where's your room?" I asked
"Oh it's actually right down the hall from yours" I nodded
"Well then goodnight Jughead"
"Goodnight Betty" I started walking away
"Well aren't you coming?"
"I um..." I sighed
"Jughead there's no point in me having a separate room I'm fine with sharing yours I swear"
"All right as long as your sure"
"Positive"

He followed me to his room and when the door was unlocked I looked around at the simple yet cozy room, it was fairly big with the bathroom on the right is the kitchen and further down is a step that leaves to the bedroom.
"Nice room" I said walking around
"The view is supposed to be incredible" Jughead responded. I walked towards the windows and peaked out and gasped at the view of the city.I gasped the view was beautiful you could even see all the buildings from our floor, everything was lit up. I felt Jughead come up behind me
"The view is amazing I said to him"
"It sure is" Jughead said I turned around and faced him.

"Why did you do this?" He opened his mouth
"No not any of this getting me out for a night or some other basic excuse why did you do it honestly" Jughead shrugged
"You seemed sad, I just wanted to remind you that Riverdale isn't your life that you will succeed one day and that you can do anything you set your mind too, you've always done it you've always been so head strong ever since I can remember. It felt like you lost that the past couple months and I just wanted to remind you."

Before even thinking I reached for his neck then pulled his head to face mine to press my lips against his. Jughead once he got over the initial shock managed to kiss me back. His lips felt so soft against mine, so wonderful and perfect, No matter how much that word was used to describe me it never fit more then it did now.

"What was that for?" Jughead asked clearly confused
"For helping me" I leaned forward to kiss him again, this time Jughead saw it coming and even wrapped his arms around me.
"I should help you more often then" he responded I smiled
"Really well I'm really stressed and I'm think I'm having my quarter life crisis"
"Oh that's terrible come let's reflect"
"Let's" I said giggling and dragging him to the bed.
