Holly's POV:
Charlotte and Ashton left Luke and me standing awkwardly in the kitchen alone.
'We probably should've stopped, anyway,' says Luke awkwardly, looking embarrassed. 'That was getting a bit, umm...'
'Yeah,' I agree.
We stand in awkward silence for a moment.
'I never actually asked you the thing I wanted to ask you,' Luke finally blurts out.
'What was that?' I say.
'Well, I, uh... Well, I was just... Wondering... If you... Well, maybe, if you...' Luke says awkwardly, and trails off.
'If I what?'
'If you... Maybe...' Luke finally sighs a little, and then blurts out quickly, 'if you would like to be my girlfriend?'
I smile, looking to the ground. 'Of course,' I say.
Luke smiles at me, and kisses me lightly again. Then, he stood up again and called out, 'and, guys, we'd really appreciate it if you'd stop listening in at the door!'
'Sorry!' I hear Charlotte and Ashton's voices from the other side of the door, and then the sound of their footsteps as the bolt upstairs.
