I felt my phone vibrate next to me as I laid on my couch watching switched at birth. I felt my stomach drop as I thought that this could be Caleb since I haven't heard from him all week and he's been avoiding me at all cost.

I take a deep breath and grab my phone and look to see it's just another text from Macy. I groan and just swipe to clear it.

I've been avoiding her since the whole thing with James. I just couldn't believe my own best friend would stoop so low as to date my rapist.

I'm brought out of my thoughts from a knock at the door I groan, but slowly get up and go over to open it. Miles appears in my sight and he's standing there in his casual leather jacket with his black ripped jeans and messy bed head it seemed.

"What are you doing here miles?" I question

"I came to bring you these." He says and pulls my favorite white roses from behind him

"Oh my god how did you know?" I asked happily smelling them

"A little birdie told me but, i wanted to say; I'm sorry for the way I treated you, you are my child's mother and we're in this together and to make it up, I have a surprise for you so go get dressed."

"Miles you don't-."

"I insist now go we don't want to be late." He says

I nod excitedly and run upstairs into my room. I run into my walk in closet and throw on a simple black dress, black leather jacket, and my black combat boots.

I run into the bathroom and brush my hair down and quickly run my straightener through it. Once I'm done I throw a beanie on and run down the steps.

I grab my phone off the couch and catch miles standing in the dining room looking at pictures of when I was little with me, my mom, and my dad.

"Hey you ready to go?" I question

He jumps a little getting out of his gaze and nodded. We walk out and into his car and to the mystery destination

We pull up to this hotel and I glance over at miles curiously. He doesn't look at me and just gets out the car. He runs over to my side and opens the door for me and offers a hand.

I smile and take it. We walk into the hotel and I wait while miles checks in. Once he does we get into the elevator

"Miles why are we here?" I ask

"Your surprise is here." He says obviously

"I get that but I don't understand why you picked a hotel." I say questioning

He ignores me and we step off and onto our floor. we walk down the hallways until we stop at I'm assuming our door and he opens it and I can't believe my eyes.

There's rose petals all over the floor leading up to the king sized bed and gifts covering it, there's also a huge flatscreen with a couch off to the side and diagonal from the bed is the bathroom

I spin around and hug miles tightly the tears threatening to spill.

"Oh my god I can't believe you did all of this for me" I say the tears spilling

"Of course you deserve it now come open your gifts." He says sweetly and I nod

We walk over to the bed and I sit down while he hands me a gift

I open it to see it's Victoria's Secret I roll my eyes and open the bag to see lingerie in it

I look at miles annoyedly
