Skelecat!sans x Abused!Reader

A/N: in the pic you can see frisk is holding a cat. its not Toriel, Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Mettaton, Asgore or Flowey. WHO IS IT?!?!? my brother thinks its the riverperson.

You had been kicked out of your house that your family owned for being to 'weak'. By that, you were like a normal person, but extremely fragile on an emotional scale. At least you had enough money to rent an apartment for a while, and you had a decent job, working at a café close to home.

However, you have recently been lonely because your best friend and gone on a trip for work, so you couldn't talk to her. This is what made you consider getting a pet. Just a lazy, cuddly cat that wouldn't be too much of a hassle.

You left your apartment wearing jeans and a shirt, nothing to fancy. When you entered, the noise of so many animals hit you. It was crazy! You wandered over to the cats section, and several came up to greet you, rubbing their head against your hand. What caught your eye was the skelecat in the corner of the pen, sleeping.

"Hi, skele-kitty," you said, petting it. It purred in response and looked up at you. It stood up and jumped into your arms, before falling asleep again. You smiled to yourself, walking up to the counter.

"Hello, how my I help you?" the lady behind the counter asked.

"Can I have this little guy? He's adorable!" you said, petting him.

"Sure, just fill out these forms, then come back to pay," she said. "There are tables over there," She pointed off to a quieter corner of the shop. You wandered over and sat down, taking your time to fill the forms out correctly.

~time skip and such~

You finished signing the papers and handed them over, the skele-kitty in your arms. You also bought other cat necessities before heading home. When you opened the carrier, Sans (as you named him) wandered out and inspected the apartment. He retreated to the couch after looking everywhere, falling asleep.

~time skip a few weeks later~

As you expected, Sans was very clingy. He would follow you everywhere, unless you were in your room or the bathroom. You wanted clingy, but this was just insane. It got to the point where you called your best friend who just got back from her overseas work trip.

"Hey Y/N!" F/N said as you opened the door. "Where is the little guy?"

"Sans!" you called. He jumped off the couch and ran to you, but backed away when he saw your friend. "Sans, its ok, this is my friend, F/N," you said, petting him to calm him down. F/N reached out to pet him and he sniffed her hand before licking it. F/N squealed at how cute he was.

"I only got him the other day, but he's been really clingy..." you say.

"Other than that he's normal?"

"Yeah,"

"Hmm...I think its just because he's a skeleton cat. Have you checked with the adoption centre?"

"They weren't too sure...Sans was the first skele-kitty they had," you say. Sans gives you a confused look. "Don't worry Sans, nothing you need to know,"

"Yeah...probably just cause he's a skele-cat," your friend said before her phone went off. She checked it, then quickly stood up. "Gotta go. something came up at work," She ran to the door. "Bye Y/N!"

"Looks like its just you and me again, Sans," you say. He doesn't move, but continues to purr. "Silly kitty,"

"You aren't gonna return me, are you?" You gasp. Sans could talk?!
