Birdtale!sans x Winged!reader

A/N: requested by Addyk430 . OML IM SO SORRY I HAVENT BEEN UPDATING FOR SO LONG!!!!!!!!! I had school camp. Everything was nice, heck, even the food! other than CERTAIN PEOPLE *glares at the idiotic boys in my class* it was great.

Every time you made it to the surface, You would wait in the loading screen with Chara until you reset. The monsters would continue without you there, and until you wanted to play again, you were trapped.

Not this time. You see, being trapped in a endless darkness without anyone for sooooo long would drive anyone mad. That happened to Chara, then...well...

~FLASHBACK TIME!~

"You know...how long I've been trapped...without someone here?" Chara asked. You sigh.

"Chara, you've said this a thousand times. I get it-"

"NO YOU DONT!" they screamed. You froze, looking up from your hands. "You haven't been...you never will- ha..." They reached into there pocket, retrieving a single, bloody knife. "You know what, Y/N? L E T S  P L A Y !"

Running, dodging, no escape. If you were 'killed' in the loading screen, Chara would access their save file and you would disappear. Or so you thought. Once they stabbed you, the knife glitched and disappeared. Your wound, however, didn't.

"C-Chara...*cough* why...?" you ask.

"Isn't it simple? I'm broken. We both are. you-"

"I'm done with your sh*t," you interrupt, summoning the reset button. "bye, b****," a press of a button, and a flash of light. then darkness.

*File 1 load fail

*Retry?

[*Yes] [No]

Several tries later, you couldn't go back. A load fail, a retry, another fail. A never-ending loop. Your body started to somehow turn to dust. You wanted so desperately to go back. To see Sans, Papyrus, everyone. You missed them.

"No...no no no no no...I am determined...!" you slammed your fist on the reset button. A flash of white light, and darkness. Looking down, you saw...a bed of golden flowers.

~flashback end~

Since then, you completed pacifist and made it to the surface. You expected to return to Chara, but it never came. Returning to the surface felt good, but strange. You stayed with Sans and Papyrus though, and monsters were accepted by humans.

"Hey Y/N?" Sans called from his room.

"Yes sans?" you groan sleepily.

"C'mere," he says. You sigh.

"Do I haaaaaaaave to?" you whine.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeees you do," he says. "I have a surprise for you," You perked up at that, running up to his room and ignoring your wings.

"Sans?" you push the door open and are greeted by a hug, wings wrapping around you. You hug Sans back, blushing lightly.

"Lets go fly together," he says. You hesitate. Sure you had wings, but you were never taught to fly. You were nervous about telling Sans, but it had to be out someday.

"I-I..." You pause to think. How would he react? "I cant,"

"What do you mean?" he asks. You shake your wings gently before sighing.

"I cant fly...never taught..." you mumbled. Sans only smiled and grabbed your hand, teleporting you to the roof. "S-SANS WHAT THE HECK?!"

"I'm gonna teach ya," he says. You freeze, panic sinking in.

"S-Sans..." you whimper desperately.

"Don't worry, I'll catch you if you fall," he says. You sigh. "Close your eyes, and think of something you love. Could be a place, a person, something you like to do. Focus on it, and flap your wings,"

You close your eyes, taking a deep breath. You thought about Sans. You loved him, and would do anything to protect him from danger. Focusing on all your memories of Sans, you flapped your wings slowly.

"Good...go a little faster..." you felt his cool, boney hands slip into yours and heard another set of wings flapping in the air. You felt the ground disappear from beneath you and almost screamed. You flapped your wings faster in panic. "hey Y/N...open your eyes,"

You slowly did so, and gasped. You were flying! actually flying! The breeze swirled around your f/c wings. You could see everything from up here! "Sans...its amazing!"

"Knew you'd like it," he let go of your hands, and you stayed in the air. It felt great to fly.

Over time, you learned to do tricks in the air, and spent a lot of time above ground. "Hey Sans! Sans! Watch this!" you flew in three loop-the-loops before falling to the ground, pulling up and landing perfectly.

"Great job Y/N," he compliments. You blush lightly, and mumble a thank you. "and...there's something I've been meaning to tell you..."

"Yeah?"

"I-I...I like you," he says, his skull flushing a deep shade of blue. You smile, and peck him on the bridge of the 'nose'. He blushed darker yet darker, and you giggle softly.

"Love you too sansy~" you tease.

"S-stop..." he whispers. You giggle.

"Lets go inside, Alphys flew in and dropped off some anime worth binge-ing!" you say.

"Pun intended?" Sans asks through laughter. You nod, and both of you head inside.

Since then, Sans asked you on a date and then to be his girlfriend, and you agreed to both. You shared a room together, often sleeping, watching movies or flying. Today you were not up to flying, and slept.

"Y/N~" Sans cooed softly in your ear. "Y/N wake up," you rolled over and pulled a blanket over your head.

"Lemmie sleep..." you whined softly.

"I brought you (tea/coffee/hot chocolate)," he says.

"nnnngh...fine..." you sit up and take the cup, drinking in silence. Sans inches closer to you, kissing your cheek.

"I love you sweetheart," he whispers. You kiss his teeth gently, making him blush.

"love you too birdy~" you chirp.
