[4] Livestreams

Attending competitions with Yuzuru wasn't always an option, no matter how much you wished it to be. Sometimes, your studies would collide with his performances, and then you'd be stuck glued to the screen at 4 am in the morning while the live stream loaded.

You groaned as you waited for it to load again. You didn't even know when Yuzuru was going to perform, and the live stream kept cutting out.

You stood up, against your better wishes, and decided that you should get something to drink since all of the waiting was making you tired.

Your phone buzzed in your pocket as you poured yourself a glass of orange juice. You reached for it, the bright screen once again reminding you how late it was.

One new message: Javi

yeah dumbass

someone's cranky.

(.. Javi is typing..)

You stared at the screen, waiting for him to finish. When a couple minutes passed and he hadn't yet typed something, you gave up and finished your glass, grabbing a bag of chips and a water bottle and heading back to your room. You sat down  just as Nathan Chen was finishing his performance and you watched with tired eyes as he got his scores.

"100.54? Damn," You stopped drinking your water, "He must have done good."

His beautiful outfit shined with jewls as he skated across the ice, and you couldn't help but bite your tongue, your heartbeat accelerating every time he went in for a jump.

And then, he fell.

It was only one second, one simple second where he fell but you felt your heart fall out.

"Oh no." You told yourself, your hands coming to cover your mouth in shock, even as he picked himself up and continued with the sequence, his white and blue costume dancing before your very eyes.

You were happy that he went through the rest of the performance without other falls but you couldnt help but bite your lip at the prospect of him not winning it. You took a deep breath to remind yourself that there were still other competitions, and him not winning 1 Rostelecom Cup wouldn't be the end of the world.

And still, as he stood there white the Pooh's rained around him, you couldn't help but feel proud of him. He was all smiles as he bowed goodbye to them, and you wished you could have been there hugging him. You curiously watched a little boy try to hand him a paper, and you smiled as he ruffled his hair. Yuzuru and children were always so cute, you told yourself. At the last second, he took the paper and you found yourself smiling.

While they replayed his jumps, you quickly skimmed Javi's text messages - you swore he could've been a commenntator himself - and decided to send one to Yuzuru.
