The love of my life once said,
'I can't imagine my life without you,'
He said as he leaned his head on my shoulder.

My best friend once said,
'We will always be together, forever,'
She said as she clasped both my hands tightly against her chest.

Both my heart and mind whispered,
'Everything is just a lie,'
My eyes curved into crescent moon,
Creating a fake smile on my face.

They said I have the best smile,
They said I am the one that they trust the best,
They said they'll lend their shoulder for me.

But never once did I need their shoulder,
Never once did I trust them,
Never once did I smile genuinely,
They don't know me for who I am.

The only one that I trust is myself,
And the one that I do not trust is also myself.

The only pillar that I held on is my sanity,
And if a crack form within my pillar,
I shall prepare for the abyss beneath my pillar,
Trapping myself in nothingness.

A mere shell with madness,
As for the real me,
It is better to die,
For life is a living hell.
