It has been three days, three damn days I've been in this closet. I don't even know what I did wrong. All I said to him was that he needed to get me registered for school. It's going to be my first year of high school next week. I currently live with my dad in Wisconsin. He moved me here because he thought my mom was abusive, and honestly, I did too. It turns out my dad is actually the abusive one. I only thought my mom was abusive because she didn't get me a new pair of earphones when I was nine, so of course, I threw a fit and she struck me in the face. I then told the wrong person and got sent to my dads, which isn't in California. The closet door opened and I threw my self back. I am so scared of getting hit. I can't believe I have to live in fear of my own father.

"Get up you little shit, your aunt is taking you school shopping," My dad said, with a slur to his words. It was obvious he had been drinking.

I walked past him, and very quickly grabbed my jacket. It was fairly worn out and dirty. My dad doesn't pay any of the bills, so we don't have any luxury shit. I walked out to the drive way and waited for my aunt. It was nice to get outside. The sun bathed my skin, and the cool breeze flowed through my hair. The grass swayed against my ankles. My aunt finally showed up. She has a really nice car compared to my dad. I got in the car and she immediatley pointed out the bruises my father gave me.

"Oh my god Alex! Honey, what happened? You look like you've been ran over by a truck." my aunt exclaimed.

"Hello to you too, Aunt Rosie". I tried not to make eye contact with her because I knew she would see the bruises around my eyes. How in the world could I forget my sunglasses?

"Should I go say hi to your father?" She asked, starting to get out of the car.

I grabbed her forearm and she immediately gasped, and pulled away. I looked away before she could see my face, but I knew she caught a glimpse. She pulled out of the drive way and headed to the mall. I didn't really expect her to take me there. I mean I haven't been to the mall in five years. She took me to at least three stores; Hollister, Forever 21, and Q. I also got white converse, which look really good. We quickly got into the car because my dad put a time limit on our shopping time. I don't remember him telling me that, but whatever. I don't really care what he says anymore.

"Are you nervous sweetie, with starting school and stuff?" My aunt asked, rather generously.

"No, I mean it's high school, and I was going to meet new people anyway." I replied.

"I understand that, but this is the fifth time you've moved schools." She was starting to get irritated. I don't even know why, because honestly it wasn't any of her business.

"Is it bad that I'm used to it?" I asked sheepishly.

She didn't bother to reply, so I just stared out the window. I ended up thinking a lot about my life, even though I've been here for only 14 years. The car came to a sudden stop and I jerked forward, causing the seat belt to rub against my neck.

"Good thing you had that seat belt on, huh?" My aunt said.

I looked out the window for a good thirty seconds and decided to get out of the car. I waited for the sound of her leaving and then looked over my shoulder, just to make sure she was gone. I really didn't want to go inside because I knew I would have to face my dad and I wasn't in the mood for him right now. I could run away, I would, but where would I go? I could go to my aunt's house, but she would just take me back I mean I do have clothes and a brand new pair of shoes. Never mind just forget it I have to remember I'm still a minor and I could get arrested. I walked up the drive way and to the door...
