Cute spidypool

Peter had just gotten off work, and he was tired. He went straight to work after patrol, which he went to straight after school, so he hadn't slept for about 24 hours.

He didn't want to go back to the orphanage, but he had nowhere else to go. Peter usually stayed with his boyfriend but he was out of town for a while. He was dating the infamous Deadpool or Wade Wilson. They met through Peter's nighttime activities, Spiderman, and they hit it off.

He found out Wade was only a few years older than him and they started a relationship. Peter reminisced fondly as he made his way back to the hell he loosely called home.

When Peter arrived, he slammed the door hard. he tried his hardest to provoke his 'caretaker'. If Joe beat him then he was usually too tired to lay a hand on the other kids so Peter made it his mission to piss the man off as much as possible.

Peter didn't hear Joe so he entered the hallway and his blood froze. In front of him, Joe was choking a twelve-year-old girl named Marie, another child in his 'care'.

"Hey!" Peter yelled and pushed Joe off the her. "Are you okay?" He said, gently helping Marie up. She shook her head fearfully and sobbed into Peter's chest. Peter consoled her and then quickly sent her to bed. He would tend to her injuries later, but first, he had to deal with Joe.

Joe staggered back to his feet and advanced on Peter. Peter ignored his spidey sense and let Joe pick him up and throw him into a wall.

He cried out but then snapped his mouth shut. He wouldn't let that pig get his satisfaction.

"You must think you're so fucking tough beating on a little girl huh?" Peter coughed condescendingly. He could barely breathe. His binder was constricting his breathing, and getting beat up wasn't helping.

"Yeah, well, you haven't been home," Joe slurred, and Peter felt a twinge of guilt. "When my main punching bag leaves I gotta find a replacement."

Peter grit his teeth and let the man throw in a few more punches and kicks. Joe, finally bored, sauntered off to get another drink.

Peter barely made it to his room without passing out. Normally, he could take the pain, but the exhaustion and the breathing problems were making it unbearable.

Peter slowly peeled off his binder and avoided looking at his chest. He bandaged his bruises swiftly and threw on a hoodie before making his way downstairs to start dinner for the other children.

In the kitchen, he prepared some mac and cheese and fried chicken.

After that, he walked into the living room and noticed Joe was gone. he probably left for a bar or something. Peter called for dinner and watched as the children crept one by one down the stairs. their scared tear-filled eyes clenching at his heartstrings.

All the kids looked so scared when he wasn't around.

"Peter!" They all cried happily once they realized Joe was absent. Peter knelt on one knee and gathered all the kids in a group hug.

They chatted happily for a minute before Peter's spider-sense tingled at the two people who entered the doorway.

"Alright alright," Peter laughed, standing up, keeping an eye on the strangers. "I made dinner, so you guys go ahead and eat. I'll be there in a few minutes."

The kids all ran to the kitchen and Peter turned his full attention to the two men in the room.

"Hi, I'm Peter." He stuck his hand out, and the blond man shook it.

"Hi," he said, "I'm Steve Rodgers-Stark, and this is my husband Tony Rodgers-Stark. We're here to hopefully meet some potential adoptees; do you own this place?"

Peter tensed at their names but couldn't help but laugh a little. "No, I don't own this place; that would be Joe Parrass" (see what I did there. He's an ass.)  He spat out his name like it burned his tongue.

"Oh? Do you work here then? I made an appointment for this time, " Tony said, checking his watch. Peter rubbed his arm and looked down awkwardly.

"Um no. I'm only 17, so I live here. Until I turn eighteen, that is."

Steve looked horrified. "I'm so sorry. It's just the way the kids act like you're their parent. I really didn't mean"

"It's fine." Peter cut him off. "I'm the one that mostly takes care of them, so they all kind of look up to me."

"I see," Tony said. "Well, then can we speak to Mr. Parrass then?"

Peter couldn't help but scowl. "He's out sorry. Or passed out at a bar somewhere," he muttered that last part out. "I'll gather the kids when they're finished eating, until then please make yourselves at home." Peter turned his heel and walked briskly out of the room to the kitchen.

He felt bad that he snapped at them like that but he couldn't help his bad mood.

Back in the living room

"Did you hear that, Tony? I think the owner is an alcoholic. " Steve sounded worried. Tony nodded. "I'll call happy and have him report it." Just then, Marie ran into the living room.

"Are you here to take Peter away?" She asked innocently.

Steve knelt down and said sweetly, "Why would we want to take him away?"

Marie whispered in his ear, "Cause Peters is a superhero!" Steve cooed at her childlike innocence.

"He is! Peters is really strong and brave! He lets Mr. Joe hurt him, so he won't hurt us. He protects us! And sometimes at night, I hear Mr. Joe hurt Peter, too." Steve and Tony glanced at each other, but Marie didn't notice."Peter makes strange noises and after he cries a lot. But the next day, he still smiles and takes care of us. So, he has to be a superhero!"

Just then, Peter walks into the room. "Superhero huh," he says, "I'm gonna be a supervillain in a minute if you don't go eat dinner, young lady." Peter gave a playful rawr, and Marie ran away giggling. "Sorry about Marie; she's a little nosy, but overall, a really great kid. The kids are finished eating. Do you want to go meet them?"

Tony and Steve both shared a look before they shook their heads, and Steve said, "No, thank you, we already know who we want to adopt."

Peter looked confused, "But you haven't met all the children yet. How do you - Marie!?"

"No. We want you, Peter, " Steve said gently. It hurt him to know that Peter didn't consider himself able to be adopted like he'd given up hope.

"M-Me?" Peter stuttered out. "I-I can't! I have to take care of the children! I can't leave them!"

"Peter, we know you're being abused." Tony said sternly."You can't stay here. "

"He hurts me, so he doesn't hurt them." Peter snaps, and just then, the man himself walks through the front door.
