When the boys get to the movies, Robert had made other plans to go along with his wife's. He didn't necessarily want to be at the movies, but he was going for her, for them.
"Alright, guys. I'm gonna take off and I'll be back, before the movie's over," Robert assured his sons.
Jeffrey was already upset with that because, he know his dad isn't supposed to go anywhere and he knew this was not part of his mom's plan. He wasn't going to say anything, unless his dad is gone longer than he said. But still he'd probably cover.
"I'll be back, do not tell your mother, I went anywhere. I just have to make a quick stop and I'll be back, okay?" He was mainly asking Nicholas to agree and he'd probably bribe him on the way home.
"I won't," Nicholas said.
"Okay, take care of him," he told his oldest son. He handed him some money for whatever they wanted, while they were there.
Jeffrey nodded. He already, did not want to obey, but he had to. There was no way of getting out of anything without bringing up other issues and Nicholas finding, there was something wrong.
After giving his orders, Robert finally took off and left the boys on their own. Luckily one of them was an adult and of age to take care of things because, that would be a whole other issue with their mom. As if it weren't now.
Robert went to a bar that was close to the movie theatre and it wasn't the same one, that Shannon worked at. It was small, run down and old fashion. When he got there, he slid onto a bar stool and he was immediately given a shot of whatever, by the person working. He was well known at that bar.
"Not planning any trouble tonight, are we?" the bartender asked. He knew his friend had a reputation in that part of the area with his other friends; Jason and Don.
Robert laughed, taking his shot. "Nope, just coming in for a small break. I dropped my kids at the movies. No trouble."
"Your girlfriend came here looking for you," he told him.
"Girlfriend... I don't have a girlfriend."
"Don't you?" a voice behind him said. She slid her arms around his waist, so he jumped off the stool.
He turned around and met the voice. "I don't," he told her harshly, "why are you here, Kristen?"
"Well, you've not returned my calls and this is the only place I know where to find you. I guess I got lucky, tonight. I came earlier and you weren't here."
"What is so important? Oh and by the way, how stupid can you be? You called my house. My wife was home and she found out about you. I told her it was a good thing."
Kristen giggled. "I'm sorry. I didn't get you in trouble, did I?"
"You did, but I fixed it."
"Did you, now?" she asked surprised.
"Somewhat," he hesitated.
"Well, I was coming to tell you that-"
"Lindsey knows. I know," he nodded, "good, go figure a way to make it up to him because, I want him away from my daughter."
"Your daughter? What about her?" she questioned.
"Your husband has been dating my daughter. I can't stand his ass, as it is and he's been maneuvering his way into my family."
"Family? You weren't worried about your family a couple weeks ago."
"Yeah. Well, I actually love my wife and I'd like to be with her. Which is more than I can say for you, you treat your husband like an animal. I won't lie, I hate Lindsey, but you could at least be nicer to him."
