Temperance and Eben

Without getting too spoilery, here is the basic background info on these particular characters. If any of you have read Fawn Hollow and Crimson Ash, it will house a much deeper meaning ; ) ( this is basically writings Gina (Tempie's mom) shoves intro Eben. So y'all can feel embraced for poor tempie now that you know what her mom, Eben, Danica, and Piper read that was meant for Tempie's diary only.) 

 This series is about a young girl who catches the eye of a dangerous and obsessive stalker. Police can't seem to catch him so she is forced to learn to defend herself if she wants to have a chance at surviving. Enter human version of Tristan, Eben Redus. He's a foul-mouthed UFC fighter who is just as "Grrrr." In fact, Tristan got his black veins because Eben Redus sports major ink. I can't help it. 

In the below scene, Tempie is losing faith and terrified the crazed stalker that won't leave her alone is going to steal more than just her first kiss. She is desperate to have some control over one aspect of her life because right now she feels she has none. Instead of playing chicken with whether or not the biggest moment of all will get taken from her, she's asked the only man she can trust with this to help her take back some control. That's a tall order given the only thing Eben Redus lives and breathes for is to fight with his fists. Not to mention he is six years older and her best friend's "buncle" who lives up the road. However, saying no to the girl he trains proves much harder when he knows how much this moment means to her and what she has put on the line to protect it.
