The sun turned the sky to fire, just like it always did. The river sighed against the rocks, smoothly cutting down the mountain side. The wind whistled, ever gently, as it swirled through her hair.

Nothingness pulsed insistently in her ears. Filing her mind with shuddering emptiness. How do you drown in nothing?
