Chapter 9 - (Y/n)... can you hear me?

I stared at the man, who just said my name, in confusion.

"Y-Yes?" I spoke with a hint of confusion on my face.

The man's features relaxed.

"I haven't seen you for so long... so so long.... are you okay?" His voice was just a pile of concern....

... but I was confused at his words.

I slightly backed away.

"It's me! Mark!..." he paused... his eyebrows went inwards...

"...Don't you remember me?"

Silence....

I was confused... I was afraid to speak to him.

Who is he?

"Did Dark... erase your memory?" He almost muttered.

I backed away again...

"Dark?" I repeated confused.

Was he talking about the darkness of the room or....

"Darkiplier. Come on - (Y-Y/n) don't you remember? ... what happened to you? ... why do you look.... " he paused as his worried expression softened.

"... different." He finished.

His eyes scanned me....

I felt cold and uncomfortable...

You have hickeys on your neck...

Bruised arms and wrists...

And....

A tattoo on your cheek of a warfstache....

You're Wilford's  (Y/n)... aren't you..."

I slightly relaxed.... yet I was still slightly confused...

So many things just don't add up...

"But why are you here? ... you're not dreaming, are you?" He asked me as he looked at me in the eyes.

I noticed how his eyes weren't exactly like Wilford's. Wilford's were hazel...

This ... Mark's eyes were a light chocolate brown... though it depended on the lighting.

"Why are you asking me? Aren't I meant to be the one who knows nothing?" I replied shyly.

His eyes trailed down...

He was either thinking, or just didn't know what to say.

"So... can you explain to me, where am I?" I had the courage to ask.
