CHAPTER 12

SYDNEY'S POV

"Stay. Please."

Tiningnan muna niya ako at nakita kong nagbago ang expression ng mukha niya.

Parang naiipit siya sa sitwasyon.

Few seconds after, he answered.

"I can't." he said.

Napabitiw na lang ako sa pagkakahawak ko sa kanya.

"O-Oh. O-Okay." I said as if what he said didn't mean anything to me. 

I wanted to scream WHY, but okay was the only word that came out from my mouth.

"I'm sorry. May tatapusin pa kasi ako and may mga tanong pa kasi si Michell tungkol sa project na gagawin namin." he said.

Michell.

AGAIN!

"Its fine. Hindi mo naman kailangan magexplain." I said then gave him my fakest smile.

Humiga na ko and tumalikod sa kanya.

"Just close the door when you leave." I said.

Mga ilang segundo siguro siyang nakatayo lang sa tabi ng kama before I heard him sigh.

"I'm really sorry Syd. I promise, babawi ako sa'yo. I just have to do something important." he said.

"Really, its fine Andrei. I'll see you tomorrow." sabi ko pero hindi pa rin ako nakaharap sa kanya.

Then I heard him move. He bent and kissed the side of my head.

I closed my eyes when he kissed me, hindi dahil sa kilig but because I didn't want him to see how disappointed I was.

Few seconds after kissing me, I heard the door opened then closed.
