Chapter 8

"Thank you, a friend of mine have chosen it for me." I said and her eyes sparkled.

"And who is this friend of yours?" She questions and I shrug.

"You'll have to find out I guess."

"Oh come on Y/n, you're no fun!" She frowned and I giggle.

"By the way, do you have an outfit to wear?" I ask her and she nods.

After I bought the kimono, me and Kayano got our hair done. She got her normal hair on while I curled my one. We also got simple make up and after we were done, we separated ways.

As I was walking, I felt a presence beside me.

"Where are you going now?" He ask.

"At home so I can wear my kimono. Thanks for helping me out by the way." I smiled and look at him then realise something. "Hey, have you been following me around?"

He blush in embarrassment while looking the other way.

"Yeah, and what if I was? Do you have any problem with that?" He questions and I shrug.

"Not really but... isn't it creepy when you stalk someone?"

"Not to me. I've been tracking the Octopus since the day that I heard about him." This was the time that I have chosen to ask him.

This guy is different to others

"By the way, is Korosensei really your brother?" I ask and there was a moment of silence between us before he replied.

"No. I was one of Shiro's experiment and he's been trying to improve my ability to defeat the Octopus."

"But... why would you let Shiro tells you what to do? And why waste all that time to prove that you're stronger than Korosensei?"

"Because he can make me stronger and if I defeated the Octopus, then I'll be the most strongest human being that live in Earth."

"Why though?" I ask as I stop on my track, making him stop as well.

He turned around to face me.

"I mean, why do you need to prove that you're stronget than everybody? Isn't it enough to know that you're... at least stronger than other people? And instead of using it to eliminate those people who are stronger than you, why not use it to people who are... weaker that needs protection of those who needs someone stronger by their side because they won't be able to defend themselves when stronger people attack them." There was a silent between the two of us.

He didn't say a word, he just stared at my eyes with shock shown on his golden orbs. His eyes was showing as if he was thinking so deeply.

"Do you... have any special power?" He suddenly ask out of the blue.

"N-no, why?" I got the feeling that he's trying to change the subject.

"It's because... you're making me feel weird."

"W-what do you mean?" I was now getting more and more confuse at what he was telling me.

"Never mind, I guess that I'm just tired. Anyway, why are you still here?"

"Eh? Me? What do you mean? We've been walking together since then-" I was cut off by him.

"That's not what I meant. What I mean is, why are you not running away? I mean, you saw what I can do, I'm a... montser and I know if other sees me, they will run awa-" I didn't let him finish his sentence as I put him into an embrace.

He flinch at the sudden contact and his body stiffen but soon relaxed.

"What are you doing?" He ask and I pulled away with an eyebrow raise.

"Hugging you." I replied. "Haven't you been hug before?"

"No. But I like this... hugging thing of yours. It made me somehow... feel much better and relief. This is one of your powers right?" He stated and I giggle.

"Oh Itona, how many times do I have to tell you that I don't have any special powers? Maybe you're just hungry." I commented and he shrug.

"Let's eat then since you said that I'm hungry." And with that, I lead him to my house. "This is where you live?"

"Yep! I'm alone in this house since... my parents died when I was young." I said sadly and he nods. "Make yourself feel at home."

"By the way, that hugging that you were talking about, how does it work?"

"Well, it works when you need to comfort someone who is under pressure or needing a shoulder to cry on. It makes them feel better especially to those people who are in pain. I don't know actually, I guess the main thing for it is comforting somebody." I shrug and he nods in understanding.

I went to the kitchen and started cooking ramen since I don't know what Itona wants. Hopefully he'll like it though. As I was cooking, it made me wonder if is it bad to have a guy in your house... alone?

Of course not! Besides, he's just a friend

Then his words rung in my head.

"Do you... have any special power?"

"N-no, why?"

"It's because... you're making me feel weird."

What does he means by making him feel weird?

Then my mind wander off to the part where he consider himself a... monster.

He's not a monster, he's a cute guy that needs someone to guide him away from the darkness is all

I then widen my eyes as soon as I realise what I was thinking.

Wait a minute, did I... just call him cute? Gah! Stop it Y/n! This is not the time for-

"Are you okay? Your face is red." Itona just appeared beside me, making me jump in fear and accidentally bumping the boiling water that stings my left hand.

"Ow ow ow ow ow!" I yelled in pain as I immediately put it under a cold running water.

"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't know that you would get a fright!" Itona exclaim, panic was clearly heard from his voice.
