*blood warning*

(Soc attack from:) Two-Bit P.O.V.

The final bell sounded through the halls signaling the end of the day. Naturally, I was the very first person out the door and in the hallway.

Pony was normally at the lockers when I came by and we usually walked out together. Today though, Pony wasn't there.

I figured he was runnin' a bit late so I hung around eyeing the pretty broads. That got boring after a while though because apparently none of them had a classy sense of humor.

I walked down the hall looking in between people and looking in classrooms trying to find Pony.

The only place I hadn't checked was the bathrooms. Now, I realize that if he's in the bathroom then he could simply be out any minute, but part of me couldn't help but worry.

I swung open the door and looked around. Thankfully it was empty of questioning passerbyers.

It was awfully silent in there so there was no way Pony was in there. I was about to leave when I glanced over toward the mirror and sink. My reflection was not what caught my eye though.

The sink was dripping with blood and wet footprints trailed to the last stall and back out the door.

I couldn't help but take a peek inside. After all, there was no one in here anyway.

I cracked open the last stall door noticing that the clear water was mixed with crimson.

I gasped as I saw someone sprawled on the floor visibly unconscious. Wait a second.....that was Pony!

I went down on my knees and felt for a heart rate. When a steady pulse met my fingertips I relaxed. Man though, the kid was wrecked.

The blade marks were fresh against his neck and he had bruises and cuts all over.

I didn't know what Darry would say when I told him, but he needed to know.

I didn't exactly wanna leave the kid to go make a phone call, but there was no way I could sneak him outta the school without questions.

How did no one notice this during the day? Better question, when did this happen? The poor kid could have been here all day!

Maybe I should just go get a teacher. No, Pony wouldn't want me gettin' people involved.

With a bit of hesitation I locked the stall and slipped under so no one would come in. Then I ran out to the nearest phone.

I dialed Darry's work really hoping someone would pick up. If I had to tell Soda he would have a mental breakdown right at the DX. One medical bill is plenty.

A man picked up who I figured was Darry's boss.

"Hello? Could I speak to Darrel Curtis?" I asked trying not to sound too anxious. There was a tense pause on the other line before a familiar voice picked up.

"Hello?" Darry asked. "Hey, Darry. I need you to kinda come to the Highschool right now," I said fast, hoping to make it quick and get back to Pony.

"Two-Bit? What happened? What's going on?" Darry said sounding rushed and concerned.

"Look, just get over here fast! I'll explain when you get here." I said, hoping Darry would come without an explanation.

Darry P.O.V.

I hung up the phone and explained quickly to my boss that I had to leave immediately.

Thankfully he payed me for the entire day's work and sent me off. Since I left a few hours early I'd have to go in on Saturday to make up the hours.
