Christmas surprise

Evan's POV

It was 4 days before Christmas.. Connor was released from the hospital early but he came home with a fearful expression on his face I asked him what was wrong but he just said that it was nothing for me to worry about and that he'll be fine.  It was 3:05am when I felt someone shaking me.

"Ev.. Ev.."

I felt a sudden sharp pain across my face

"Evan Hansen wake up!!"

I was startled when I turned around to see Connor leaning over me with an anxious look on his face

"Connor.. Why'd you slap me??"

"I..."

His voice was trembling.

"I just wanted to know...what you would do...if I said that I was pregnant...if you would still love me..."

"Wha??  Baby of course I would love you. And our little one too. I- I would never leave your side"

He hugged me so tight I though I was suffocating I hugged him back, but then became suspicious of him.

"Why'd you ask?"

"N-n-no reason hehe"

He got up and left the room clutching under his stomach. I went back to sleep.

Connor's POV

It was Christmas day and I was wrapping my pregnancy test in wrapping paper and wrote on the little tag

To: Evan
From:Connor

I looked at the wrapped pregnancy test and sighed... What if he doesn't actually want this... What if he hates me after this.. I went through with the plan and the bedroom door burst wide open. I hide the present.

"Come on its Christmas!!!!"

Crystalline grabbed my arm and dragged me downstairs. Christmas songs were playing and everyone was wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, I was wearing my Christmas pj's and my Santa slippers we went into the living room and Evan went to hug me

"Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas Ev"

We ate breakfast then sat in the living room playing Christmas games then ate lunch

"Right let's open presents shall we??"

"YAAAAAY!!!" Crystalline ran into the living room and we all followed her and sat underneath the tree.

"All right so this is to Crystalline from dad"

"An Xbox!!  Thanks dad! "

"No problem kiddo"

"This is to mum from Evie"

"Perfume?  Thank you baby"

"Hehe"

"This is to Conner from Evan"

I carefully unraveled the ribbon and opened the lid of the box.

"Void nail polish set. Thank Ev"

"I didn't even notice your nails were painted"

"Eh figured"

They opened a few more gifts and until non were left...

"Well that's all of them. "

"W-wait"

They'll turned to look at me as I pulled the small irregular present out of my pocket.

"This is to Evan.. From me of course. "

He pulled the paper off the front and froze.
His face and eyes lit up and his eyes filled with tears.

"Evie baby what's wrong??"

"C-connie.. "

He leapt up and gave me a bear hug, tears streaming from his face

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise"

"Its a surprise all right.. "

Everyone was watching with confused looks.

"What's going on over there"

Evan pulled back, he tried to speak but instead put his face into his hand and let the hand with the pregnancy test fall onto his lap. He pulled his hand away from his face, he then ushered me to speak...

"I'm .... "

I stopped to breathe

"I'm pregnant.. "

Everyone in the room froze

"We're having a baby"
