Chapter Thirty Two - Kidnapping

A few days later. 

I haven't talked to Kotaro since the day he kissed me. I didn't kiss him back because I wasn't sure what that kiss even meant. As I sat by the window looking out into the moon light night Goemon walked over to my side. 

Goemon: Kotaro will be going out tonight. 

Aki: ... 

Goemon: The town is full of gossip. It shouldn't be long before the enemy show his face. 

I was spacing out watching Sasuke and Jen Jen goof around the Sakura in the garden. 

Goemon: Hey do you hear me? 

Goemon smashed my cheeks together! 

Aki: Ouch! That hurt, and I was listening! 

Goemon: Geez...Well Hanzo is going out on his own mission tonight.  

Aki: Mission? 

Goemon: He is meeting more ninjas. They want a nation-wide group to oppose Nobunaga.  

I stood up and looked at Goemon. 

Aki: I would have liked to go with Hanzo if he would have offered me. 

Goemon smiles at me. 

Goemon: And to think Nobunaga symbol of defeat is a little shorty like you! 

Aki: Hey watch your mouth! 

Goemon: You just sounded like Hanzo there for a moment. 

Goemon laughed a bit then looked at me. 

Goemon: Anyways let's head out to the bar! 

Aki: Where?! 

Goemon: Well I have to gather information somewhere. 

Goemon picked me up and out the window he carried me to the fount gate. I really did have a choice in the matter of going or not going at this point.  

Goemon and I get to a popular bar in town and a lady sits us town at a table. Goemon orders a bottle and pours himself a drink. 

Goemon: Here, you drink up! 

Aki: I'm not very good at holding down my alcohol. 

Goemon: That is too bad. I was going to get you drunk and you know... 

I stared at Goemon as he winked at me. 

Goemon: Looking at you in your present clothes you look pretty average.  

I gave him a funny look as he took another drink from his cup.  

Goemon: Average clothes, average hair style... 

Aki: Well excuse me! You know Munenori said the same thing. 

Goemon: Huh...Who knew we have same taste. 

Aki: ... 

Goemon: But when you put your hair up in the Pin you have been wearing all the time, and the Kimono Hanzo picks out for you... I can't help it... 

I give Goemon another look and he smiles. 

Goemon: C'mon! Average isn't that bad! Goon eat up! 

Aki: When did you order food? 

Goemon: I'm that good! 

Aki: Whatever! 

Goemon then shoves some food into my mouth.
