Chapter Forty Four - Our Romance

Narrated by Aki 

Two days later I was making breakfast for everyone with Jen Jen. She smiles to me as she brushes her long hair behind her ear. 

Aki: Your hair look beautiful today! 

Jen Jen: Ah! Really? 

Aki: Yes! I can't remember the last time I have ever seen it down. 

She blushes slightly then turns to me. 

Jen Jen: Sasuke ask me to put my hair down today. 

Aki: So that's the reason! 

I laugh as I walk to the door.  

Aki: Sasuke! Saizo breakfast is ready! 

The wrestle around a bit then pushes each other away and walks over to us. Saizo Glares at me as he looks at the apron on my small body. 

Saizo: I see you have basically turned into Hanzo's house wife. 

Aki: I'm helping out that is all! Someone has to take care of you! 

Saizo: Yeah take care of us till Kotaro gets better. 

Jen Jen: That's Right! How is Kotaro doing? I haven't been able to visit him thanks to Sasuke! 

Aki: He is doing much better! Oriku poison was the same as Goemon's ex so Rennoshin already knew what to give Kotaro when we came back. 

Saizo: How was that? Carrying Kotaro's body all the way back here? I'm surprised you could even do it with your little arms. 

I flex my arm to him in sass. 

Aki: With my strength and will power! 

Jen Jen and I laugh together with Sasuke. I think I saw Saizo smile a tiny bit, but I wasn't sure.  

I then pick up Kotaro's food and bow deeply to everyone. 

Aki: Please excuse me.

I walk to Kotaro's room and knock on the door. 

Aki: Kotaro...Are you awake? 

Kotaro: Teah...I woke up when I heard laughter.  

I slowly opened the door and close it behind me. 

Aki: I'm sorry... 

Kotaro: It's fine. 

I laid the dishes down in front of him. 

Kotaro looks out the window with his arms crossed. 

Kotaro: Everyone must be jealous that I have you for myself! 

Aki: Hanzo still isn't happy about it, but he told me He hopes he have a bright future together. Goemon hasn't been around so I'm not sure how he feels.  

I look into Kotaro's eyes as he looks to me.  

Aki: But it doesn't matter, because I love you. 

Kotaro holds his arms open wide I walk to him and let him wrap his arms around my body. He hols my head to his chest as his chin is rest on top of my head. 

Kotaro: You really are all mine. 

Aki: Kotaro.... 

He squeezes me gently. 

Kotaro: I won't let anyone else have you. 

I look up into Kotaro's eyes. My heart begins to pound within my chest. I wouldn't be shocked is he could feel how hard my heart is pounding.
