From the moment our eyes met I thought he was the one...

"Hi, Eloisa!" Carlo Humphrey shouted and waved at me...and then there goes my heart, beating very fast...
"Hi Carlo!"
He went towards my direction and asked me
"Are you free this afternoon?"
OH MY GOSH. Is he asking me out? okay okay don't hyperventilate. But. He. Is. Carlo Humphrey. He. Is. Like. The. Most. Popular. And Gorgeous. Guy. Ever.

Those mesmerizing eyes
Why is it that he's unaware of what he's making me feel?
Am I available? I think not. I have to tutor my sister's friend...

And then I said "Oh, yes I'm free this afternoon. why?"
"Yes! Can you please do my research project? It's due next week. "
"Oh." I can't hide the disappointment in my voice but is this how I'll live throughout my high school life? Doing other people's paperwork?
HIGH SCHOOL LIFE SUCKS.
"Can you do it for me?" He asked
"Oh, yeah yeah sure. Just email me and I'll send it to you before the week ends"
"Okay thanks Elly, you're the best!" he said. Then he patted me at the back
"Bye"

And then he walked away. Just like that.
