it's been a while since miranda and lucas got their happy ending, but it's time i get mine.
our story, was one i thought would begin with a happy ending. boy was i wrong. how could i even begin to think that my happy ending would start and end with some guy. you were everything i wanted to see in myself. you were kind, true, and smart. but it seemed to be that i was the part of you, you didn't want to be. we were just too different, i suppose. and even though i didn't see what was wrong with that, and i still don't, i want you to know that i'm happy with being your friend. being your friend gives me the most joy and happy feeling i've ever had. to know that i could be capable of being there for you, by your side, is enough. because you are my best friend. and you taught me that to love someone, you must love yourself. so here i am, and i love who i've become. and i owe it all to you. i got my happy ending, and i hope all of you find yours, even if it's not with who you wanted it to be with. and i hope you're happy with it.
