Starting Over

Addison's POV (also next day):

Today I'm going to start over. Like I won't ignore Zed anymore, we'll just be friends.

"Oh, hi, Zed!" I said cheerfully as I waved to him from my locker.

"Um, hey," he said awkwardly. "Look, I'm really sorry for what happened. And you need to understand-"

I cut him off. "Yeah, I know. But I've decided that we're going to start over, just as friends." 

"Addison, you know I see us as more than just..." Zed trailed off.

"More than just what?" I asked.

"Nothing," he sighed. "I'll see you later."

"Alright, bye?" I honestly felt a little bad. 

'Addison, stay focused! It's not your fault the kid messed up!' my concious said.

"Easy for you to say." I muttered, then headed to class.
