Steve noticed a small opening in the ground. He threw its metal door aside and just as the place is exploding, Steve threw Natasha and himself in the hole, as Nina did the same herself. Nina used the metal door to protect herself from the explosion, and Steve uses his shield to protect himself and Natasha, who had hit her head on the ground and was currently unconscious.

As the explosion calmed down, Steve helped Nina up and grabbed Natasha on his arms bridal style. They managed to get out of the facility and in the car before the STRIKE agents got to them.

Natasha was laying unconscious on the back seat. She didn't have many injuries, only one to the side of the head. Steve had a few cuts on his head. Nina was on the passenger seat, and she was the one who was most injured. Let's just say that an aluminium door isn't as protective as a vibranium shield. Nina's hands had first degree burns on the palms, from the heat from the metal door. Her head was covered by a few cuts and bruises from her fall. They were all in very bad shape.

"You should get some sleep," Steve told Nina.

"Actually, you should. I should be the one driving," Nina told him. It was true. Nina only needed one hour of sleep per night to be functional during the day. Even if she only needed one, she definetly enjoyed sleeping for 5 or 6 hours. I mean, humans need 8 hours of sleep, but if you let them, they can sleep during days. Everyone enjoys sleeping.

"I'm good," Steve confirmed. Nina accepted his answer. He was a supersoldier after all.

"Where are we going, anyways?"

"Sam's place," Steve said. Nina turned towards him frowning.

"You're pulling him into this? Are we sure he wants to get involved with three fugitives?"

"He'll understand."

"Are we sure about that?" Nina said, rising her eyebrows.

"No."

"What a good friend you are," she said sarcasticly.

"Sleep."

Needless to say, Nina didn't sleep. She stayed up all night as Steve drove to Sam Wilson's house. It was early morning when they finally arrived.

Nina opened the back door to wake Natasha up. She was about to shake her awake, then decided it was a bad idea to scare an ex russian assassin. She then only called her name and she woke up with a jump.

"Hey, it's okay. We're safe," Nina assured her.

"Where are we?" She asked.

"Sam Wilson's house."

Steve helped Natasha up and they walked to the front door. As soon as Sam opened the door, both Nina and Steve felt bad for dragging him into this.

"Hey man," Sam greeted them.

"I'm sorry about this," Steve told him. "We need a place to lay low."

"Everyone we know is trying to kill us," Natasha explained. Sam took a moment to absorb that information.

"Well, not everyone," he said, opening the door a bit more and gesturing them to get in.
