April 5 1940
I saw Nicholas today at school again and I think he likes me! I also befriended a girl yesterday and her name was Tressa, she was really nice, I think we're going to be good friends from now on. Abbey met and became friends with a girl named Maria. Bye, I have to go make supper now since Mrs. Robinson can't much anymore. I am not going to write any more unless something very important happens because there are almost no pages left in this diary, although the Robinsons promised me a new one. Bye!
April 16 1940
Mrs. Robinson had a baby boy! They named him Jack Nathan Robinson. Abbey, Rachel and I even got to pick out the carpet, curtains and wallpaper. We picked all green and blue patterns so it looks lovely. He is really cute at only 2 days old. I am totally out of room in this diary so I will only say one more thing: I will miss writing in this diary and will probably give it to my children to read.
