Now that we know that we have sinned, and God has a plan for sin, the next step is to confess our sins and repent for the remission of sins, to have our sins remitted so they dont have the same control over us as they could. (2 chronicles 7:14- if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wickedness).
If that verse isnt convincing (matthew 4:17-from that time jesus began to preach, and to say, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand). Repentance is key to salvation, because repentance is telling God we are sincerely sorry for our actions and that we are turning away from sin and toward God.
