Janet pov

Me. Looking at Prince from across the room, staring at how gracefully his hair covers the side of his face. His eyes, the best thing known to mankind, are a beautiful hazel color. His lips have a rosy color. I can't help but stare at the way he slowly licks his lips and runs his hand through his hair.

There's only one problem: that's my twin brother's best friend. Lord knows that won't stop me from liking him.

"Ms. Jackson? Ms. Jackson? Ms. Jackson!"

I snap out of my gaze, hearing the teacher call my name. "Yes, ma'am?" I said, embarrassed as the whole class was staring at me.

"Are you okay, Ms. Jackson?"

"Yes ma'am. I'm fine."

"Can you read page 180 aloud, for the class?"

"Yes, ma'am."

The school day is over. Everyone is going to their lockers, talking and catching up with friends. As I make my way to my locker, I accidentally bumped into Latoya and some blonde girl.

"Watch where you're going, loser." Latoya said, as the blonde haired girl next to her laughs. My sister has always been like this. She's always been a jerk to me, but I never let her hurt me.

"Hey, girly." Michael said as I close my locker.

"Hey, Mike. What are you doing here?"

"Prince is taking us home, remember? I was just checking on you, making sure you're alright."

"Oh, Michael," I said walking with him, "you don't always have to worry about me."

"Well, why not? You are my sister. And you were taking a long time."

"Whatever." I said with a playful eye roll.

We see Prince's car in the back of the school's parking lot. He looks at Michael like he has been waiting for a while. "It took you long enough." Even when he's mad, he's still handsome.

"Don't be petty, Prince." Michael said buckling his seatbelt.

"Whatever, wanna smoke?" Prince asked, holding a cigarette.

"You know I do."

Michael grabs a cigarette to start smoking. I never thought Michael would be the one smoking.

"You want one, Janet?" He asked me holding the cigarette.

"No, I'm good."

He simply shrugs and begins driving.

Prince parks right outside of our house. "Welp, this is goodbye."

"Thanks, Prince." They lean in for one of those 'bro huggs'.

Then Michael and I walked out of the car, heading towards the house. Prince rolled down the window and called my name. "Hey, Janet!"

I walked towards the car, looking down, and spoke, "Uh, yeah?"

"I noticed you checking me out in class."

"Oh. I didn't mean to offend you," I stuttered.

"No problem, babe. You look good, ya know that?"

"Thanks." I started blushing.

"May I kiss you?"

I nod my head at his question. I cannot believe this is happening. He leans in and gently kisses my cheek.

"Bye, love."

"Bye, Prince."

My smile is so big, my face started heating up and my heart is beating terribly fast.

I walk towards the front door of the house, where Michael is waiting. We both wave at Prince as he drives off.

"Do y'all have something going on?" He asked, opening the door. As always, mom and dad aren't home.

"No, why?"

"Nothing, just that you're blushing really hard right now."

"Let me like who I wanna like." I said, going up the stairs.

"See? You like him."

"You're being ridiculous, Michael." I said, closing the door. Well, you are not wrong, Michael I thought, sliding my back against the door. You are not wrong.
