Chapter Fifty-four

Racheal's POV
I had fallen asleep with the babies beside me after taking a warm shower. I didn't know I had slept for long till I opened my curtains to see the sun setting down. I immediately checked my time to realise I have been asleep for four hours.

Micheal must be back by now. Why the hell didn't he wake me up to prepare supper. I walked around the house in search of him but couldn't sight him any where. I kept calling his name but didn't get a response. I checked the compound and there was no sign of his car. Where could this guy be?

I checked my phone and there was no missed call from him. I tried calling his line several times but was told switched off. I decided to go prepare supper since he was a grown man and could take care of himself. He will be back after whatever he went out to do.

I began to pace about after two hours time, when there was no sign of him yet. Some dreaded feeling settled in the pit of my stomach which I tried shrugging off but to no avail.

Think positive Raquel! I chastised myself. My agitation increased when the twins started crying and I realized I needed to change their diapers but Micheal wasn't back with them yet.

"Nelly has Micheal been to your place today?" I questioned frantically the moment she picked the call.

" Naa havnt heard from him today, wasup?" She questioned in concern.

" He left the house this afternoon to buy diapers but up till now he is not back and his line is not going through," I replied in agitation.

" Raquel calm down he will be back.You know guys, maybe he went to see a friend or something afterwards," Nelly comforted.

" Nelly when Micheal left he knew I needed the diapers urgently, so I doubt he will pass anywhere without bringing them," I reasoned.

" Yeah you actually have a point but emergency situations happens, he will be back soon. Go get some of the diapers for the babies and let me call Frank and Tony to check if they know anything about his where about," Nelly suggested.

" Okay I will be waiting," I responded before I called Aboki to go buy me some.

Nelly called about fifteen minutes time to inform me that non of them knew where he was and Frank was even on a business trip.

An overwhelming sense of fear gripped me instantly and my heart rate picked up after hearing that. This was so unlike Micheal. He will definitely let me know where he was.

I changed the babies diapers and bath them before putting them back to sleep. It was nine o'clock in the evening now and there was no sign of Micheal. I jumped in my seat when my phone vibrated to signal a message. I got disappointed when I realized the message was from Nelly.She wanted to find out if he was back.

It was eleven o'clock in the night now and there was still no sign of him. I began to pace about feeling restless.
I rushed to the door to opened it when the door bell rung, relieve that he was finally back.

To my utter surprise there was police men at my doorstep and my heart immediately skipped a beat fearing the worse.

" Please how may I help you," I questioned the moment I set my eyes on them.

" We are looking for one  Mrs Raqueal Yeboah," They replied with a grim face.

" Please I am the one, is there any problem?" I questioned.

" Yes, am detective Patrick Osei and this is my college Raymond Bonsu. We are from central police department and we have some information to deliver to you," He responded and showed me his badge.
