The Truth

*CHAN'S POV*

*FLASHBACK*

We finished practicing and Y/N went out

The boys were starting to pack their things because they planned to go somewhere

I planned to go out on a date with Y/N so I couldn't join them

I drank from my water bottle before heading out, finding Y/N on the balcony

"Y/N, I'll just get the rest of the things I left in our room. Then we'll go somewhere" I told her and she nodded at me

At that moment, I felt like I haven't hugged her for years

I then embraced her but she didn't hug me

Instead, she pulled back and complained

"Yah! You're still so sweaty!" she said before grabbing the towel from my shoulder and started to wipe my sweat

I was so tired but I felt like I was gaining energy from her

"Sorry.. I just missed hugging you.. I couldn't hug you when we were in the room because the boys might see" I explained to her

I had my eyes closed because she was wiping away the tears near my eye

I opened them and felt like I lost energy, I just wanted to sleep right there

I closed them again, "Y/N.. I want to sleep" I jokingly said

"Alright, go on, I'll wait for you here" she replied to me and I nodded

I turned around and made my way to the practice room

I got in and immediately looked for my bag

I found my phone on a bean bag and I took it and put it in my pocket

I got my bag so I made my way to the door

Before I could twist the door knob and get out, a hand pulled me back

I turned around to see Hyunjin

But this Hyunjin seemed different from the Hyunjin I was practicing with

His eyes were so sad and filled with pain

"Can I talk to you?" he asked me quietly, almost to the point where it sounded like a whisper

We went to the corner, the boys were talking loudly so they wouldn't notice us talking

"Look.. I know we had difficulties and arguments before about Y/N.." he started

"All I want to say is.. I'm happy for the both of you.. Even though I didn't get her, I trust that you won't let anything bad happen to her.." he added, then a moment of silence passed by

"If she's happy.. I'm happy.. And if her being happy means being with you, then I'll give her to you.." he cracked, telling me he was tearing up

I nodded at him and he looked at me

I approached him with a hug and he hugged me back

"I'll protect her, I'll be her knight in shining armor. I'll do anything for her, and I know you would too" I told Hyunjin and he cried on my shoulder
