It's been months since the day that Lyra and Mr. Potter played Wizards Chess. Now Lyra was walking by herself in a corridor, on her way to Arthimancy.

"Hey, Lyra!" Lyra's heart skipped a beat.

She froze and held her breath. Surely she was imagining his voice calling her name. Because a voice as beautiful as that should never say a name that walburga Black called her daughter.

"Cormac Stars?" Lyra turned around to see her crush walking towards her with that cute half-a-smile he wore all the time. "What do you want?"

"Just to ask you something," Cormac rubbed the back of his neck, looking adorabley nervous.

Lyra took the time to marvel at his perfectness. He had blonde hair that looked so soft and lucious, handsome brown eyes that matched the roots of his hair, tan skin, and - although he was a seeker in the Gryffindor team - he was very muscled.

"Did you hear me?" Cormac asked, snapping her out of her reverie.

"Oh, er, sorry," said Lyra, blushing.

"I asked if you wanted to go to the next Hogsmeade trip with me," Cormac asked, raising one amused eyebrow.

"Yeah," Lyra said, managing to keep her composure. "Yeah, er, that - that'd be great."

"Great," Cormac looked really amused now. It might be because Lyra was a blushing tamatoe at the moment. "We'll meet in the Entrance Hall tomorrow."

"Sure," Lyra watched Cormac leave the corridor, then her excitement was too much to keep in. She grabbed her school bag and stuffed her face in. She screamed as loud as she could, jumping up and down with excitement.

"That was interesting to watch," Lyra heard James say from behind her.

She whipped around and saw nothing. In fustration, she ripped off the Invisability Cloak. James, Sirius and Remus stood there, all looked ready to laugh.

"How long have you three been standing there?" Lyra demanded.

"Since Cormac said 'hey Lyra'!" Remus admitted.

Lyra narrowed her eyes at them. "Never mention this. Ever."

The three boys stared at her and she stared back, something clicked inside her head.

"OH MY MERLIN!" Lyra screeched, making them all jump. "What am I going to wear? I mean, I'm going to Hogsmeade with CORMAC STARS!"

"I don't know," Sirius looked bewildered at his sisters behavior. "Wear anything, I guess."

Lyra stared at her three best friends. Boys. None of them were girls. But Lyra had girl friends. But then she didn't; James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter were her only friends, and they were all boys.

"I need a girl friend," Lyra said quietly.

The boys choked. "You need a what?"

"A friend thats a girl, you twats!" Lyra snapped.

"But you hate all of the girls in your dorm," James pointed out. "you can't be friends with people that you hate."

"You're right," Lyra nodded. "But this doesn't have to be a natural friendship. This could be just a kind of friendship where you need something from somebody, and they give it to you!"

"I don't think that's how friendship works, Claws," Remus said carefully.

"It is in my book," Lyra said.

Sirius raised one eyebrow. "Which girl are you going to pick?"

"Evans."

"Evans?"

"Yes, Evans," Lyra said. "Because she's the leader of the other girls - so me being friends with her, will lead me to being friends with the other girls. So boom! More opinions on what I should wear tomorrow!"

"You're going to become friends with them all by tomorrow?" James asked, incrudulous.

"Well, yeah," Lyra said, as though it was obvious.

"I hate to brake it to you, Claws," Sirius said, shaking his head. "But Evans knows how to hold grudges, I don't think she'll forgive you that quickly. I hear Snivellus begged her to forgive him and she turned him down without hesitation."

"I'm not going to beg," Lyra scoffed. "She's not that important and I know she's getting tired of fighting with me. Trust me, guys, it'll be easy."

"What ever you say," the three said, looking doubtful.

Lyra rolled her eyes at her boys and walked down the corridor away from them, wondering if she would ever be able to be friends with a girl she hated for six years.
