Sirius wasn't too pleased when he heard what had happened on his sisters very first date with a guy she liked for six years, but he enjoyed seeing his sister so happy; though he didn't state his opinion.

As she talked to Remus, James, and Peter about what happened, he wished that she would come to her senses, before her heart shattered into tiny peices.

He wish that she saw what Cormac Stars saw just like he did himself. He knew that Cormac didn't kiss Lyra because he was in love with her, or cared for her deeply; if he did then he would have asked her to a date long ago - when she was so obviously swooning at his mere smile every time he walked past her.

Sirius knew that Cormac kissed Lyra because she was beautiful and completely rich.

Unlike his best friend, James. Sirius didn't believe in true love; some might call him cynical, but he liked to think of it as being realistic. If there was really such a thing as true love, then Lili Evans would have said yes to James a long time ago, James was so obviously going after he because she was pretty.

"Padfoot? Padfoot!"

Sirius snapped out of his dark thoughts and blinked at his sister, who was scowling at him in a face so similar to Sirius' that he felt as though he were looking in a mirror.

"What, Claws?" Sirius asked.

"I said that you made a whole blotch of ink on your Potions essay," Lyra said, pointing at his almost completely black parchment. "Professor Slughorn won't be pleased."

Sirius glanced down at his parchment and swore under his breath.

"Don't swear, Padfoot," Lyra informed him, being completely against swearing.

"I'll do what I want," Sirius retorted, though not in the mood to have a verbal fight with his sister at the moment. "Now how am I supposed to hand this in? It took all day to do."

"Only because you were daydreaming the whole while," James said. "Wormtail tried to get your attention for an hour."

"Sorry, Wormtail," Sirius said, not really sorry at all.

"S'kay," Wormtail squiecked, his eyes shining.

"Can I copy off your essay, Lyra?" Sirius asked, not looking forward to rewriting his essay but knowing he had to.

"There's no need to rewrite the entire essay," Remus said, taking out his wand and pulling Sirius' parchment over to him. "I know a spell that could wipe it off. . ."

He then started to do a spell in his head. The four watched as all of the ink sank into the parchemnt, leaving the original essay. Wormtail clapped.

"Thanks, Remus," Sirius said, releived. "You're a life saver, you truly are."

Remus rolled his eyes but looked pleased with his work.

"How can you do nonverbal spells?" Lyra moaned enviously. "I'm still muttering the spells under my breath."

"It's not that hard," Remus shrugged modestly. "You just have to clear your mind and only think of the spell."

"There are to much things in my mind," Lyra protested. "How am I supposed to clear it?"

"Ever try writing down what your thinking of?" Remus asked, raising his eyebrows. "Then you would be free to clear your mind and not worry about forgetting it."

"What? Like a diary?" Lyra wrinkled her nose. "Wearing Lily's little skrit was pain enough, I don't want to become exactly like a girly girl."

"Lily?" James shot up in his seat like he was just struck by a lightning boly. He stared at Lyra like he never seen her before. "Did you just call her Lily?"
