"Cass, where are you going?"

When I opened her room I saw her sitting infront of her closet beside a huge luggage. She was wearing pjs and a mickey mouse head band that we bought last year when we went to Hongkong Disneyland.

She was humming a song that her mom sings to her before she sleep.

How would I know?

She always talks about it every. single. day.

Like, her mom is the precious being for her. She loves her so much, she wanted to be like her. A loving and caring mom.

"We're going to the States Gabby, uncle didn't tell you?"

"Is he supposed to?"

"Umm yeah??"

"That's odd. You always tell it to me personally, you hate delivering messages from others right?"

"Ooooh.. Yeah hehe, sorry 'bout that Gabby"

She made a piece sign, while arranging her clothes and signaled me to sit right next to her.

"When will you be back?"

"I don't know, I have no idea."

"How about me then?"

She stopped fixing her clothes for a minute and looked at me, I can see her eyes water with tears.

"I don't know"

"But promise, I'll be back. Not now, but soon"

"Promise not to forget about me"

"I promise"

Tears starting to fall down on her eyes, her eyes are becoming puffy and there is snot coming out of her nose. Silly girl.

How am I supposed to protect you when you are not even here?

"Boi balita ko may mga bago ah?" Joseph

"For fuck sake Joseph pwede bang manahimik ka?" Honey

"Honey naman~ napakasungit, may dalaw ka ba ngayon ha honeeyyyy"

"Shut the fuck up Joseph"

"Sino naman 'yang mga bago na sinasabi mo ha bugok" Tyler

"Yan yan! Yan ang gusto ko sayo Tyty!!"

"Tyty ampota bantot!" Xander

Kasama ko ang buong gang ko ngayon sa hideout namin, tahimik lang ako na nanonood sa balita habang paminsan minsang nakikiusyuso sa chismis ng kumag na 'to.

"Boi ang ganda kaya" Joseph

"Nakita mo na?" Tyler

"Oo bro, nakasalubong ko kanina. Natameme nga ako eh" Joseph

"Paanong tameme?" Honey

"Babe naman, ikaw parin ang nagiisang honey ko okay?"

"Pakamatay ka na gago"

I stood up and went to get myself a soda when I heard her name.

"Cassandra Monett daw pangalan"

To my shock, I accidentally let go of the soda. Hindi pa ito nababawasan. Pumutok ito at kumalat ang malagkit nitong likido sa sahig.

"Bro, okay ka lang?"

"Yeah. Yeah"

I felt Tyler staring at me because of what I acted. He can't blame me, that girl was my silly girl.

I saw how she twisted the girl's arms by one hand, I saw how she cursed in front of her shivering friend.

My once silly girl, is now a lady who can stand on her own.

Before, she always comes up to me whenever she's in trouble, once she calls me in my full name, I'll run to her.

That's how vulnerable she is.

The girl who helped me save my sister.

The girl who doesn't like having her family in a tough situation.

The girl who keeps on getting in trouble.

The girl who used to be my silly girl.

And now she's here. There's no back out.

The morning when we realized that she was gone, again.

I can't help but to feel frustrated again, just like what happened when we were kids.

She told me she'll be in the States but didn't even say good bye the morning after we talked.

I tried searching for her.

Every continent, island, and country.

There's no sign of her.

"Bro"

I looked up to see Tyler looking at me.

"She doesn't want to be found. She'll be back soon."

"How sure are you?"

"Trust me, it runs in our blood"

I smiled at him, she really did came back from the States.
